Add to iPhoto not working from Mail app

I have Mac OS 10.8.2 installed along with iPhoto '11 (v9.4). When I receive an email that has photos then try to use the "Add to iPhoto" feature from the save menu in the email, nothing happens. I have tried repairing iPhoto and even rebuilding the iPhoto but it is still not working.

I can save the attachments to a folder - that works - but the save directly to iPhoto simply does not work.

Any ideas?

I didn't read all 4 pages of post before submitting this so it might already be on here, but Apple's suggestion is to drag each photo down to the iPhoto icon in the dock. You can also select all photos at once in the email (click on the first one, scroll to the bottom, hold down shift and click on the last one) and then drag all the photos from the email to the icon on the dock and they'll all import without an issue. I just tried this and it works perfectly. (However, I'd still prefer to just be able to click the "Add to iPhoto" button directly from the email.)

@Pyrran, thank you for giving me a workaround that works for multiple photos!
