iTunes Wi-Fi Sync won't work after iOS6

Does not work for me at all. iPod touch does NOT retain info in the Static section and erases it each time I go back and I won't be trying the Router change since I dont trust this is any more a viable solution than all the other 100 things I tried that did not work. Sad! :-( I give up.

I set the static IP on my router and so far wifi sync is still working.

I know it's only been a day, but I can't remember the last time I left my house and returned and wifi sync still worked. So for me...so far, so good.

I'll keep you updated.

Some days when I mess with WiFi Sync I plug it into laptop, sometimes I reboot phone, and usually iTunes as well on Win 7 64. Sometimes I mess with settings on iTunes and its Preferences, sometimes those on phone.I seldomly reboot laptop. It'll work for some number of hours or a day or so.

I am tired of trying to solve the puzzle of the secret sequence.

The static IP thing worked for a day. Now it doesn't work again.

Actually.... It's just started to backup so maybe all is not lost.

This is the third consequitive night wifi sync has worked.

Please God, don't say the static IP thing has really fixed the problem....

Well, since I gave my iPhone a static IP for my router I've had 4 clear days of wifi synching.

Now set static IPs for the other iPhone and 2 iPads in the house. I'll let you know in a few days if they are fixed too.

Only way I find work for me is restart a service called Apple Mobile Device. Although it seems not a perfect fix, as may need do it every time this iTunes sync problem appear.

Step by step: Right click Taskbar, click Task Manager, go to Services, press A until find Apple Mobile Device, right click it and choose Restart. Now iOS device will appear in iTunes.

Now whenever I need sync to add new things:

The best way, Sync button ready for me to press, is not work due to this issue.

The second way, plug USB, cost so much energy.

The third way, restart that service, is my choice.

By the way, it seems spell check on this Apple official forum, seen iOS and iTunes as wrong word. It's need fix.

Hey guys i found the solution and it is working for me, just wait atleast 5min to take effect, and also i do turn on/off the wifi in my laptop 😀 i hope this can help..

Hey Everyone. I know this post is from a while back, but here's something that worked for me. I spent hours trying to figure out this problem, at least a good 24....I tried everything from disconnecting my ipod touch, to reinstalling itunes, to restarting my router and checking my firewall settings, all to no avail. Even if it did work it was only temporary.... but now I got it sorted. Usually it's a problem with Itunes..Luckily I cam across this link, and I want to share it with you. Hopefully you will find it helpful.
