iPhone 5 Showing incorrect Time. Unable to send text messages.

Ok here's my problem. My time on my iPhone is incorrect. I check my settings it's on automatic and it is set to my Hawaii time zone. I am unable to send text messages because I believe the time is not the same as the server. When I try to send a text it says Go to Date & time settings. This happens at least once a day. My time would be incorrect for 10 mins then go back to correct time. This happens on LTE and on WiFi. I also have rebooted the iPhone. One last thing. I check my battery usage. It's says 4,294,967,278 days on Standby. I guess the time is messing up my stats. Anyone have the same problem? Please help. If not I hope new ios update fix this.

Also having this problem on my phone. I have also tried to manually set the time with auto-update off and it continues to not show the correct time. It will work fine for a while but eventually cuts out and starts giving the iMessage error about the Time & Date settings being incorrect. I'll give it a couple days before I do a full restore, but until then, I'm keeping a watch on me.

Ok, it has been 2 days since I experienced this problem then it happened again this morning. At work using their wi-fi, I sent a message that reverted back to plain text message rather than iMessage. Then the person responded back with a text & when I tried to respond I got the error message prompting me to go to settings & fix the time which had reverted to an hour & half early. I went to settings, turned off the automatic, then turned it back on & the time went back to correct time & IChat worked again. Was hoping this was fixed but guess it is not. I've been telling everyone who asks a out this problem. Is this just a Verizon issue or is it a problem with the IPhone 5, or is it an I 06 issue. Help

I have same problem. New iPhone5 Verizon. Colleague told me he had same issue with his iphone5 Verizon. Both were on auto time zone settings. Both fell about 10 minutes behind real time. When it happened to me I went to date/time settings and switched to manual - time still wrong - then back to auto - and time was still wrong. Still 10 min behind. Had to power off then then time was right again when powered back on. VERY CONCERNED!!!! Since I use phone as alarm when traveling.

Spoke to Apple 2nd level support today. She wasn't aware of the issue, but took extensive notes and passed it on to engineering. We didn't bother with any troubleshooting since there's obviously no permanent solution yet. This is occurring with both mine and my wife's phone. I'm trying to remember, if you do nothing does it correct itself? What app was everyone using (if any) when it happened? For me, it's happened at least twice while playing Tiny Tower.

My iPhone 5 (Verizon) is doing this too. I have the time set to autmatic. I can correct it by turning the phone off/on, but it keeps reoccurring.

It seems to happen late in the evening, and I can correct it by rebooting the phone. Then it happens again sometime overnight, because when I wake up in the morning, the time's off again.

And mine way off. When it's happened all this week, the time was about 8-12 hours off, and the calendar say 24 September!

APPLE NEEDS TO FIX THIS ASAP!!!

iPhone 5 (Sprint) in GA. My wfie and I are having the same issue. Just called Apple. Recommended me to do resetting stuff, which I already did. I asked to raise this issue to the higher level so that they can act on this. (Others, when you call, mention that you are not the only one. Ask to speak with high level of support so that they can hear).

Here is what I am doing. I disabled LTE last night. Time fell about 20-30 min didn't happen to me in the morning. It happened on my wife's. So, I disabled my wife's LTE. I will leave it like that to see if time problem is resolved. What I will do is (when I get back home), I will wipe out my phone using iTune. Start as new. And, I will see what happens. I am somewhat confident that restore will not fix the problem. But, somewhat confident that disabling LTE may fix the problem. But, I could be wrong. Whatever the reason is, as this happens in the multiple carriers, it may be either software or LTE chip problem (Qualcomm??). I hope I am wrong and it can be fixed soon ( I mean real SOON).

I'm in GA and am on Sprint also. I've done the same thing, disable LTE. The time has been correct ever since. This is a temp fix for the problem until they (Sprint / Verz / Apple) can resolve this issue. Where are you in GA, Im in Marietta around Johnson Ferry and Hwy 120.

There is another discussion about this issue
