I'm having some issues with my mew iPhone. It seems that with most calls I'm sending or receiving the ear piece on the phone does not work.
I've discovered by trail & error (sometimes) if I turn the speaker phone on and then off again the ear piece will work.
The issue is consistent through phone calls and with visual voice mail.
Anyone had a similar issue?

Heartily appreciate your post. I have been struggling with this issue for so many days. Even restored my iphone5 and reinstalled latest iOS10.1.1 but all went in vain until I read your post 🙂 . I pressed firmly on the top left screen for 3-4 seconds and for time on the receiver/front camera too.
Now, I can hear everything crisp and clear. You have saved me my hard earned money on buying another phone as I was now planning to go to apple store birmingham this weekend to trade this in with an iphone7. Cannot thankyou enought and infact to everyone else on this forum/community too. Many thanks buddy. God Bless....
I have a 5s have the same problem.
Was the screen replaced? If so that's the problem. I had my screen replaced 6 times and that issue happend every time I had the damb screen replaced.

I had just suddenly had earpiece issues just whent silent all of a sudden this quick fix might help flick the silent toggle off and on or vice Versa it worked for me 😁😁😁😁😁
