iphone 5 internal speaker not working
Plays music and other items but on phone calls cannot hear anyone. I can use the speaker phone and headset works

I've had my iPhone 5 for 3 days and the speaker problem started on day 2. The caller can hear me but I can't hear them on the internal speaker, I have to use the loudspeaker (hands free) to hear them. Tried restarting and rebooting the phone but still have the same problem. Need to take it in to apple for repair which is really annoying. Anyone else found a fix for this?

A simple fix. Lift screen but don't disconnect. Tighten all loose screws, there's bound to be a few including those retaining the speaker. Replace screen. Problem solved..
Bravo! Okay, evidently my IPhone5 is a hand me down, but this hand me down had been working perfectly from day one, indeed! Now, it's like day 402 and KABOOM...this freakish phenomenon, which, OF COURSE, could be remedied by a Google search. LOVE GOOGLE! And thank you! I am even now listening to Adele, thanks to this fix. Adele says Hello, by the way! 😁
