Iphone 5 cant send texts or pictures

I am not sure if its an IPhone 5 or IOS6 issue but i cant send pictures via text to some people. I can successfully send pictures to my girlfriend that also has an iphone 5 but when i try to text a picture to a friend that has an android through Verizon i get the red little message saying failed.

I have also tried sending a text message (not picture sms) to an email address and i get the same error.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

iPhone 5, iOS 6

I am having this issue as well. I can't send pictures via text to anyone that does NOT have an iphone. My girlfriend has a GS3 and I cannot send pictures to her, nor can she send pictures to me.

The only solution I have found was to turn off my phone then turn it back on. For some reason when I do this the texts go through. I have had to do this 3 times now. Really frustrating and hopefully someone knows the cause of this.

I am having exactly the same issue with my iphone5s, when i am at home my phone get connected to wi-fi; and if i am trying to sending sms; it failed sometimes. I resovled it by going into settings, turn OFF LTE and wait few seconds, turn it ON again. I was able to send sms then while it was still connected with wi-fi I.

My SMS and MMS settings are tuned ON all the time. I have no block from service provider as I have unlimited text messaging including MMS (Koodo Canada is the service provider).

I also get no data at home when LTE is turned and its not connected to the wifi; My area probably have week LTE signals and it fails completly when sending and receiving data or sms. I

f I turn OFF the LTE at home. Everything works fine. There is definetly an issue with LTE with iphone 5s

Can somebody comment if this is the iPhone 5s issue or service provider.

For successful MMS sending, some carriers may need you to fill in various details such as APN, MMSC and MMS Proxy.

This can be found in Settings / Cellular / Cellular Data Network. I was advised by Gibtel that I needed to fill in the APN, MMSC and MMS Proxy lines. It then worked.

You do not need data roaming on for this.

Good luck.
