How to clear mac app store cache? can't download skitch

I'm Under OS X 10.8.2

Today I received an update about skitch. them I clicked the update button. the update process started.

until the progress bar reached 70% it give me an error "Skitch failed to download, Use the Purchases page to try again." them I went to the Purchases page, it give me a red text waring. "an error has occurred" I clicked the INSTALL Button again. it give me the progress bar again but for about 1-2 seconds.

the progress bar is about 80% full but reported "12.88 MB of 12.88 MB less than a minute" them the same error again "Skitch failed to download, Use the Purchases page to try again."

Now I wonder that can I do?

I don't know if this would help but I have a similar problem few days ago, I tried to update Twitter for Mac and it didn't work. When the download finally reach the maximum size (e.g. 18.5MB of 18.5MB), the download has stopped and said an error has occurred and told me to go to the purchases page again. I tried to repeat it multiple times but the problem still the same. I already followed the solutions in this forum, like open the terminal etc, delete the com.apple.appstore folder, and others but it still didn't work. Then I read somewhere (maybe in this forum), that maybe the wifi is the problem here.

So I change my internet connection, I use my iPhone as the personal hotspot (using my iPhone internet connection) since it's only a small size app, and finally it works! I can update the app just fine.

Hope this will help and sorry if I'm not really clear.
