removing a phone number from imessage
In imessage under send and receive I have both my wifes phone number and my phone number. How do I delete her phone number?

I had this problem and to solve it combined every response I had found on a google search on all my devices
First I went and deregisterd the phone that was lost.
Then i Went Into every apple device and logged out of my apple ID
I then put the sim card with my phone number into an apple phone , set the number up as mine and turned imessage off from that device.
When I then logged back into my apple ID on other devices the number was no longer there.
This would only work when no apple device was logged on saying that my number was on imessage.
