iPhone 5 Camera Horrible Purple Lines Down Pictures!

its nothing to do with a factory cut sim card, my brothers is a factory pressed sim from o2 on a new contract and his does it.

Any thing i am giving i am 50% sure it is problem with sim cards as my only common thing in every iphone was my sim card and the problem comes how it is possible to get same problem in three replaced iphones apple is big company how they will made this kind of faulty iphones everytime so jay are u getting idea sim or another company

It has nothing to do with SIM Cards!

I had this problem with my Deutsche Telekom SIM and with the SIM of my new provider named BASE.

This is my 3rd iPhone that I have (2x replaced) and this model has the purple lines really really rare.

So what u think why is this problem comming in iphone 5 as i also have same problem in three of them is someting that we are the one who are causing this but i think cant be hardware because how it can come in every iphone i have changed...

Guys I have the same problem in still picture it doesn't catch, but in video recording it is recorded in the clip.

I returned my iPhone 5 to my local Apple Store today and demonstrated the purple lines problem in front of one of the staff. They immediately replaced the iPhone 5 under warranty and explained it was probably a loose connection between the board and rear camera. As usual, excellent customer support and a **** good reason to buy Apple. Good work guys, bring on the iPhone 5s/6!

I took my phone to the apple store in shanghai, they refused to repair it as I got it from the States!! Even the AppleCare DOESN'T care at all, no warranty on phone hardware in shanghai if the phone is purchased in the US!!! I live in shanghai now so I have to travel back and forth to just my phone fixed? Will apple pay my flights ?? Suddenly so upset with apple and all my other apple products... Way too expensive for a product with no warranty.

If it is due to loose connection than why it happens only while using internet why it not happen when using no internet

Guys, i had a tlk wid apple care today and their senior executive told me dat its a problem with the sim card that is handcut. They had few complaints regarding this and their technical team has come up with this. If the sim is not properly cut it leads to some network error and as sim slot is just below camera it is ver much prone to the attack. They said that it comes up with certain carrier providers depending on the country like me and jai are having problem with the carrier i.e. Idea which both of us use..

Yes parth as i told u u also got that information from apple care so i want to know from you that we should use now factory cut sim card thats sure but we can use idea again or another one

DUDE, CAN YOU STOP MAKING UP STORIES AND PROVIDING MISINFORMATION, THIS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH SIM CARD, I HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH MY NEW ORIGINAL NANO SIM FROM MY CARRIRER WHETHER I'M ON 2G, 3G, HSPA, WIFI OR WHATEVER CONNECTION. AFTER I REPLACE WITH A NEW IPHONE 5, PROBLEM IS GONE EVEN THOUGH USING SAME SIM FOR MORE THAN 8 MONTHS NOW, ITS A CAMERA HARDWARE FAULT, PLEASE DON'T SPREAD CONFUSING NONSENSE PLEASE...SIGH

I also had this problem!! Went to Genius Bar Amsterdam today and they were aware of this problem. It is clearly à hardware problem!!!! Has nothing to do with simcard or whatsoever!!!!

Just pay à visit to the Genius Bar and ask for à replacement!!

Dude if its a hardware how can same problem come in my three iphones and that also it happens only while using intrnet if its camera hardware problem it should come up with using camera without camera alsoooooooooo.::::::

Dude, I'm just telling you what Apple told me. Sounds like you got some other issues with your phones. If you've had this much trouble with Apple, why don't you just get a refund and buy Android.
