iphone 4s ios 6 mail send problem

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 6 and have since had a major bug sending email. I compose the mail and hit send - the "woosh" sound occurs immediately (where it used to sound only actually when the mail had gone) and the app has the spinning icon with "sending" but the mail doesn't actually go.

I have done a hard reset, I have deleted and re-activated my 2 email accounts (iCloud and Gmail), and I have restored via iTunes. The issue persists. I cant send any emails from my iPhone.

Any suggestions?

I manage to get in working by accident but may worth a try.

In Outgoing Mail Seriver -> SMTP -> Primary Server (On) - > Delete your password and "done".

Go back to mail and send something.

Then it prompt you with alert box for incorrect password, type your password there instead.

Good luck in saving your mail app - it freaked me out like have missed an arm when I was not able to use it before.
