iPhone5 / iOS6 Keyboard Click Volume Issue

Tried the fix iPhil posted but sadly it did not work for me, this all happened when I updated my iphone5 to iOS6.1 but when I still using iOS6.0 my keyboard clicks were really loud, way loud, but now I hardly hear it... hope there is a permant fix on this issue/bug

It seems the fix is less likely to work running an iOS above 6.0.

i also had the same problem, as i was reading the solution given, it did'nt work for me.

what worked is this:

go to settings>sounds>keyboard click/lock sounds

if both are 'on' slide them first to 'off' then 'on' again.

I Had the same problem after I turned in my older iphone 5 and got a new one today from apple. I had never had this problem before. However if u follow the original suggestion "Phil" and do it every single time then it will work. U cannot go back in and adjust the volume again without following the beginning steps again. Remember to double click home. Slide to the left. Hit iTunes key and then turn volume off. If u need to readjust. Then close out iTunes and start again. It does work. Just re-do the steps consistently. Good luck and thanks for the help with mine

I had the problem to, but iPhil's post helped me.

Actually, I don't think it is a bug or something. When you are listening to music, it's annoying if you here the clicks very loud. When you are not listening to music it's weird that you have to turn your volume down for louder clicks.

But when you think of it, apple did a good thing on this one :)

I just experienced the same with the embedded calculator,no clicks,a restart fixed it for me,very strange 😕

The same issue still applies on the latest IOS7.0.2

Swipe up on the screen to open the Control Centre, slide the volume control to low and then upwards again and the keyboard sounds will reactivated.

IIn my experience I found that you are correct about the connection between the keyboard click volume and the volume of the music in the multitask menu. The only difference between your instructions and my experience is that I found the problem is only remedied when I turn the volume in the multitask menu all the way up, only then do the keyboard clicks revert back to their normal, non-intrusive volume. Good luck to anyone experiencing this ridiculous bug and I hope Apple get on fixing it asap (even though I know that won't be the case SMH

Everyone...don't forget to check the mute switch on the side of your phone.

Clearly this doesn't work for me. The sound when I hit the keyboard still too small. When I type then some notification comes suddenly it loud enough after that it back to going really soft. Hope it get fixed soon. I'm running the latest IOS BTW. 9.3.2. My device is iPhone 6S+ 128GB
