First time and not very impressed iphone owner (i5 64gb running 6.0.2)

I removed a whole bunch of stuff from notifications last week and changed the mail from 'push' to 'every 15 mins' and this seemed to fix it....

...until this week when the thing is already down to 13% from full this morning and it's not even 5pm yet.

1000$ for a phone that can't even stay charged until the end of the working day?!!?

Seriously ***

I just got my iPhone 5 3 days ago. I was going back and forth from a nexus 4 and iphone 4s before.

I have been having issues with the iPhone 5 battery as well. My email is set to fetch hourley, only system apps and skype is in my notifications. No other push notifications. Location data is only on for FB, maps and weather. ICloud is pretty much turned off. With all this in mind i am loosing about 4% battery for about 7 minutes of usage. And by that i mean from texting my friends or replying to emails. After a full nights of charging i unplugged the phone at 10 am today. Its 2:14 pm now and i have 82% left. Doesnt sound like much but i havent used the **** phone at all. Just sitting at my desk and using its own battery up doing nothing.

I am thinking of calling in a priest because me epone be posessed.

My update: Went to Apple, showed them my graph and also mentioned that it wasn't charging. They hooked it up to run diagnostics and saw nothing unusual. The Apple guy figured it might actually be a hardware issue and gave me a new phone. I did a reinstall of my backed up cloud stuff and I am happy to say that at 5 hours later, my phone is at 89% battery running everything I had running previously! So, I think my issue was hardware related.

Sadly, I lost the ability to connect my phone to my car's USB port (radio says USB is unreadable) which was an issue I had previously with my original iPhone5, but was able to fix after restarting the phone. Alas, that quick fix does not work for iOS 6.0.2...

Eureka!!! ... seems like I've solved my battery problem ... After going trough this thread, I tried most every recommendation with no results, until I combined the configuration of Skype, turning the disconnection to immediate, instead of never, and at first it didn't work, but then I signed on to Skype, and then I signed off, and the consumption of 3G plus the battery drain stopped, hope this helps someone else!!! ... now my consumption is very much like on my iPhone 4.

Not for me, I still having the same problems: 4 hours battery life in stand-by and a wi-fi useless... I've been reading lot of comments about people with new phones and the same problem, I'm quite afraid.. if I ask for the warranty, I have to leave my phone for 12 days in "study", and after this if they decide to give me a new one, my new phone would have the same issues!
