I would suggest we everyone to log a complaint on the site in order to push Apple to take urget action, this is not acceptable..

Apple cant just preduce any crapp and sell it, they have to improve.. How is compansating us of the time we are spending finding a solution for a mistake by apple... For job should be done by Apple.

They should find a solution for us, not anyone els...

I agree. All I expect from Apple is to acknowledge there is a problem and potential timeline when they plan to fix it.

That is the least expectation from a multinational brand in terms of customer support and satisfaction.

I have not seen single official acknowledgement in this forum by Apple to indicate either an OS or hardware or Configuration problems for the battery drain issue with iPhone-5.

Don't you guys realize this is Apple screwing around with their consumers. You mean to tell me they can't put a better battery in their device, let alone come out with an update that will address this issue?

Think about it, they change the dock connector and give you a garbage battery which means what? You need to buy additional chargers at $50!!

it is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$

My battery life has been TERRIBLE. I'll be good to get 4-5 hours use. I fully charged it last night, took it off the charger and let it sit in standby. I woke up this morning and my battery had dropped from 100% to 85%. 15% drop in battery WITH NO USE. I have tried everything from diming my screen, closing apps, turning off notifications, turning off location services, still does no justice and takes the point out of having an iPhone. Does Apple even read these? Do they know? Judging from all the comments & disscussions here, this is a immediate issue. I don't think its the phones, its the software running them. There is a bug in iOS 6.0.2 that is a battery eater.

I don't think the problem is with the icloud set up. I am not using any of the icloud features and still my phone is draining the battery like crazy. 15 minutes of use is almost equal to 10% of battery drain. I'm not happy with this problem. I wonder if I really need to replace this phone for another one ( another iphone 5 ).

How many people is having the same problem with the battery drain issue?

If your battery is draining rapidly it us likely you have a corrupted OS installed.

Thus is nothing intentional it is something that can occur on all types of computers. It is very easy to check for this type of corruption. Go to Settings>General>Usage. Scroll down a bit. You will see Standby and Usage times. Standby us the amount of time the device has been off the charger since the device was fully charged. Usage is the amount if time the device had been in use. If these times are identical or close then it is very likely that your device has OS problems. It needs to be restored. Now you can read Ht1414 on how to restore the device. But the key thing is to SET UP AS NEW. If you restore from a back up it will likely put the issue back on the device.

Now if your standby and usage are not similar you probably have auto lock set to never or 5 minutes and your brightness set too high.

ALSO if you live in a rural area that does not have nearby towers. Your device will expend more battery power trying to increase signal.
