All of the sudden I can't send texts to my boyfriend. It seems like I'm getting his now but he is not receiving any of mine. Any advice?
iPhone 4S, iOS 6
go to Settings > Messages and make sure Send as SMS is turned on. If he isn't on an iDevice (iPhone, iPad, iTouch, etc) or if your service isn't great your messages may not go through in a timely mannor. you may also want to scroll down and make sure the MMS Messaging is turn on as well while you're doing the above.
You may also want to make sure you aren't signed into iMessage on a computer as i've found out you may have issues.
Well, the solution is clearly to get him an iPhone as a gift. 😝

Hello, why do you test a single solution among all those proposed on this page? ...
I'm confused on the part after you add the digit to the number? My boyfriend is on Sprint (no iphone) and after the update I have been unable to text him as well.
No change ... my wife still doesn't receive the texts. I have set up a 'delivery receipt' and Orange tell me that the text has been delivered ... no it hasn't!
I have the same problem and have tried all of the different solutions on here and none of them have worked, have you got any others please?
It's SMS to the oneperson that is not working ... I have trid turning iMessage off and on and there is no difference.
