my iCloud email won't sent from OS X Mail

Hey all,

I'm using the latest version of Mountain Lion. I recently tried to see if I could switch from using my MobileMe email address in OS X Mail to using my iCloud email address. iCloud seems to work on my iPad and iPhone... but everytime I try from Mail, the messages won't send. I click send and they just come back to me after a while, asking me to pick a different outbound server. Interestingly, the messages WILL send when I try to send via my MobileMe account.

Should I be using some sort of different server setting for the iCloud email?

this is the message I've been getting all day

The sender address kachina*** @me.com was rejected by the server p02-smtp.mail.me.com.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

my husband also has a macbook pro and he is having no problems with his mail at all

I didn't get any message when I signed out

but when I click on edit the edit SMTP server there is nothing listed there

I asked if you receved error messages when you signed out of iCloud, and what they were, can you answer that please.

Then you did not sign out.

Please do it again, take a screenshot of the panel before you sign back in (after restarting)

I can see quite well thanks.

Then something is very wrong, if you use Contacts and Calendars you would have had to respond to 3 seperate messages regarding the disposition of the items that you were disconnecting from, ths always happens (you get asked whether or not to delete the local cached copies)

Go to an Apple Store, have them fix it for you.
