How to Change autofill email information on iphone

Hi after upgrading my 4s to IOS 6 I used the contact sync feature with Facebook so that I have friends details from Facebook now in my contact list. This also added a Facebook email address to myself. Now when I use safari and use autofill it uses the Facebook email address. I can't seem to change it. When I go into my contacts and edit I'm unable to delete the Facebook email. How can I therefore push my home email address up the pecking order so that autofill uses it?

Good as a workaround, but with loss of FB integraton functionality.

The original question still stands -- how to tell Safari which email address to prefer?

Hi I like all others was extremely annoyed by this as I use autofill for everything. After reading thought the threads and an hour of playing around I got it to work!

As per some of the instructions I amended my other two email addresses (work and personal) the third was the frustrating Facebook address.

I changed both using the custom function to "Email" then tried autofilling a form, ironically this worked, however, it used my work email!

After more playing around I established that by changing the email address that comes first in your contact to the one you wish to use most autofill will select this each time.

I then went back and changed the description to personal and work respectively and now autofill works a treat with my personal email.

Hope this helps :)

THANK YOU This worked perfectly!!!!! I read all these suggestions until I glazed over and tried stuff for hours but your suggestion worked perfectly in 2 minutes!!!!!!

Thank you again

Here's what you said:

Here what I did since just changing my label didn't work

- go to your settings/facebook and turn off contacts

- go to your made contact and scroll to bottom of page and click share contact

- send an email to yourself with the contact

- open the file it sends to your e-mail and it will open that contact (it will ask if you want to make a new contact, yes you do!!! Lol)

- go back to settings/facebook and turn contacts back on

- go to settings/Safari/autofill/my info

- choose the new contact you just made

Work around id unnecessary as the "problem" can be fixed by editing the settings option on Facebook. Facebook creates the username@facebook.com for each member as the user name and email address would be unique. From settings edit your email addresses so the one you want to use on iPhone is the primary email account. It makes it easier for Facebook and Apple to work together this way. By default anywhere when anyone emails username@facebook.com Facebook will reroute the email to the primary email address you have chosen under settings on your Facebook account. This way anyone can choose to get email at any email address that the wish while making it simpler to disperse your address to people and easier for others to email you. All they need to reach you by email is see your Facebook user name and contact you @facebook.com

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I found a solution to this. In contacts, tap your own contact, click edit, scroll to the bottom, the unlink the contact from Facebook. Now go into settings>safari>auto fill and passwords, then change the auto fill contact to another random contact. Then, change it back to your own. This fixed it for me withour losing contact integration.
