Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 drivers for Mac

I just want to share this tip as I nearby dumped my ScanSnap S510 because it is not officially supported by Fujitsu for Mac computers / OS X. After a bit of research I found that the drivers and software for another ScanSnap model (S1500M) also work for S510 connected to a Mac. I use a current generation (2012 late model) updated with OS X 10.8.2. After downloading and installing the following two files, it works well with no error code after scanning. The files are:

File description	Version	Remarks
ScanSnap Manager for Mac	V3.2L31	Install this first
ScanSnap Manager for Mac (update)	V3.2L60 (July 2, 2012)	Then this
General info about the drivers and software	Fujitsu's corporate web site

The link worked. I installed the setup program, plug the S510 to the USB. Immediately functional.

BINGO!!

IT WORKED! My problem was the USB Hub. Hooked it up straight to the computer and saved my machine.
