Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 drivers for Mac

I just want to share this tip as I nearby dumped my ScanSnap S510 because it is not officially supported by Fujitsu for Mac computers / OS X. After a bit of research I found that the drivers and software for another ScanSnap model (S1500M) also work for S510 connected to a Mac. I use a current generation (2012 late model) updated with OS X 10.8.2. After downloading and installing the following two files, it works well with no error code after scanning. The files are:

File description	Version	Remarks
ScanSnap Manager for Mac	V3.2L31	Install this first
ScanSnap Manager for Mac (update)	V3.2L60 (July 2, 2012)	Then this
General info about the drivers and software	Fujitsu's corporate web site

Excellent recommendation. Thank you for doing the research Alford! This works perfectly fine for me. I appreciate the input that saved my ScanSnap S510. Thank you!

Tested today with OS X v10.10.5 (Yosemite) :

ScanSnap Manager for Mac (V6.3L40) works for my old Fujitsu ScanSnap S510M.

Just tested with ScanSnap Manager for Mac (V6.3L40) and OS X 10.11.1 ( El Capitan ) and my Fujitsu ScanSnap S510M works!

Contemplating buying a ScanSnap iX500 anyway since Fujitsu apparently makes great hardware and I want to support that.

A bit afraid, We Are Paris!

Whoo-baby! Another relieved user here, posting to say that the tip originally provided by Alford7 works with my S510M in El Capitan (10.11.4) as well. I'm so happy I don't have to go out and spend $400+ on a new iX500!! Like Eric Björkvall, I'm sure I will at some point, but there's nothing wrong with my S510M right now, so I'm thrilled.
