iphone 5 camera spots
iPhone 5, iOS 6
Do you mean you printed the pictures with the purple speck?
Yes, I printed examples of different photos all with the same exact purple issue. It was quite the compelling evidence. I also took a photo for them at the store to replicate the issue.
I noticed this issue with my phone just a few weeks ago. Finally took it in to the Genius Bar today. I showed the genius what the problem was and he immediately recognized it. He offered to replace it right away without cost, no questions asked. BTW I was still covered by AppleCare. When I asked him, he said that it was caused by a chip in the camera sensor and not by anything I might have done to the phone. I left the store happily no more than 15 minutes from my appointment time.
I took my iphone back and I really thought that Apple was going to give me a hard time with replacing it. I was wrong. At the Genius Bar the guy pretty much said "I deal with a lot of customers that complain. I am just going replace it for you". 10 minutes later I got a new phone!
I had this problem, a purple mark on every picture, took my iPhone 5 into Touchwood Apple store Birmingham and within 10 minutes I walked out with a brand new handset, not a refurb model either.
I just started getting the middle gran pixel as well. Glad I googled the issue, I see other iPhone5 users are experencing the same issue with the pictures in this message. Apple store here I come! Bsides the camera lens issue, I absolutley adore, love my iPhone 5!!!!
Hi, i have a problem with my iphone 5 camera. Sometimes (and it happens a lot) when i start to take a picture, part or half of the screen is solid pink, and if i take the picture the pink side appears in it! Does anybody has this problem? i want to attach the photo but i don't know how!
I have the same problem. 3 black dots in the camera. I can also visibly see it inside the camera glass.
I had the same issue, cloudy spots and also a strange black/purple spot. I took it to the store today and they replaced it.
They got it replaced.
I had red spots on my pictures all of a sudden on my iPhone5. Took it to Apple and said this is not a known issue and charged me $248 for a refurbished phone. What a rip-off. They got $248 but lost a great client. Lucily I had not yet opened my new 27 inch iMac as it is now going back.
This makes no sense at all. If you can reproduce the red spots in your pictures then they should have no reason to deny you a replacement phone. Especially since the iPhone 5 hasn't been out for over a year, so you are still under warranty.
You need to speak to manager and show them this thread. Don't take back you 27in over something that can easily get resolved.
They could see the red spots and I showed them a picture from 4 days ago with no red spots. Still under warranty. Still had to pay.
I suggested we pull this thread up in the store and the "genius" said this is not an Apple thread but a thread by users so does not mean this is a known issue.
