How can I password protect my Airport Extreme hard drive?

I have an Airport Extreme with a Western Digital hard drive attached via USB that I use as a media server for my Macbook and AppleTV. I would like to put a password on the hard drive so that others sharing the wireless network cannot access said drive. How do I do that?

This is a late find, but if all those devices are set up to use your iCloud account, then the possibility is that you have your keychain setup to auto update across all your approved devices. Once you make a change, then all devices will update to same settings. Your AE disk password would save to all iCloud devices once you hit update on the AE and some after the AE reboot. You can turn keychain update off in iCloud preferences or just leave the box unchecked and always enter the password.
