moving .gif.... how to save correctly ?

Those types of picture files are called animated gifs. The file consists of a number of frames which are displayed consecutively, thus producing the illusion of movement.

You can view them in Safari. Preview will not display the animation except 1 frame at a time.

1- Save the file as a "gif" then open it with any application that can display animated gifs, such as a browser like Safari or Firefox. Do this by dragging the file onto the icon of the application & dropping it there or by clicking on the file while holding down the Control key on the keyboard & selecting the application's name from the "Open with" item in the menu that pops up.

2- If the file animates (moves) when you do the above, it will do so for whoever you send it to if they also open it in an application that supports animated gifs.

What I did was put this HTML code into my signature block;

[img src="/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png" alt="tiger" align="right"] using "<">" instead of the "]". I did the character substituions so that the HTML would be visible to you. I have the animated gif stored in my .MAC account so that anyone can reach it.

The source of your image must be on a publicly available server on the web or nobody else will be able to see it. Your 'href' is to your local drive, so we can't see it.
