I recently purchased a LaCie D2 DVD burner so I wouldn't wear out the internal DVD burner in my Dual G5, but it has been a total waste of time and money.
DVD Studio Pro can neither see nor burn to this drive.
As a follow up to the unrecognized external burner issue, I'm noticing that on some days DVDSP opens up the carriage of the external drive when I hit burn, and on others it opens up the carriage of the internal drive.
It seems to be a crap shoot as to whether it'll pick the external Lacie burner to write to, or the internal.
I can't figure out why it doesn't do one or the other every time.
Anybody know a way to disable the internal DVD drive within DVDSP so it can't see it at all.
I have a D2 burner and Im trying to burn the DVD i made with DVD STUDIO PRO 3, but when I press burn it quickly says "FORMATING SUCCESSFUL_formatting complete"
Can someone help me ...I do not have a superdrive in my computer thats why I bought the external burner
