How do I lodge a complaint against Apple Support?

I've been a VERY satisfied Apple consumer for decades at this point. One of the things that's always kept me coming back has been the phenomenal Customer Support. That said, in the last week I have had some of the most terrible experiences with both an Apple Retail Store and the phone support I've ever had with a computer company. I'm generally frustrated with the situation I'm in, but that's neither here no there and I can cope with it and move on. What I'd like to do is file a complaint with the company for its own benefit so that heopefully this is a fluke and doesn't happen to someone that doesn't have such a good experience with the company. Had I not worked with Apple for so long I'm pretty sure I'd never buy another product after the terrible support I've gotten in the last week. Does anyone know a channel to pass along dissatisfaction with our experiences with customer support, etc.? Unfortunately the days of email Steve have passed.

PS - I tried to find the best community to post this. Forgive the location, please.

hello,

i have just visited the Apple store in garden city and left very unsatisfied, not that the staff member could have cared less.

My new (less than 2 months old) iPhone 7 is bending backwards at the middle. I have been told my child must be playing with it when I am not looking. I dont have a child. I have been told that keeping it in my handbag is bad and i always should have kept it in my pocket. I have been told that i must stnad around putting pressure on it and just not notice i am doing it.

This may sound stupid but this is like my fourth or fifth iPhone in the past 7 or so years. I am not stupid.

I am going to make a second instore appointment as this one was the worst customer service i have ever received. I am hoping the next appointment , the staff member actually listens

Why would you be asking Apple for ideas on how you bent your iPhone? It was in your possession. The person who you dealt with at the Apple Store has no idea how you, or someone you know, bent it and I'm guessing you pushed the issue and wanted to know how it could have been bent and didn't like their responses. If it was me I wouldn't have responded, I would have said "I don't know how your iPhone was bent ma'am but we can do an out-of-warranty replacement for $xxx, or, if you purchased AppleCare Plus, we can replace it for the price of the deductible."

No other manufacturer has more than a one year warranty, and when you purchase you have the option to extend, depending on what you purchase. If you purchase an iOS device that fails after the warranty, Apple allows you to purchase an out of warranty replacement at a reduced price from new, and provides a 90 day warranty for that device as well. No one else does that either. Seems they do a pretty good job taking care of their customers. Others would just send you out the door.

No, it is not Apple's method to force you to do anything. Technology is a rapidly moving field, and the iPhone 5 is a 5-year old device, released in 2012. In technology years, that is quite old. The iPhone 5 does not have sufficient hardware to support the latest update, so it will not load it. Other issues can be troubleshot and will work fine. My wife uses an iPhone 5s, and it is working just fine. Many users can use older devices, but just as easily, new devices can experience problems. That is what your warranty is for. Don't misunderstand what the warrant is for, and certainly do not subscribe to the ridiculous concept of forced obsolescence for Apple products.

It is always good to have definitive proof before accusing anyone of illegal practices. And, even if you do, these forums are NOT the place. These forums are for users to help other users with (mostly) software problems.

And, FWIW, this site is owned by Apple and they can enforce rules and/or remove anything they'd like. And, you (and everyone else) agreed to those terms when you established an account here.
