How do I lodge a complaint against Apple Support?

I've been a VERY satisfied Apple consumer for decades at this point. One of the things that's always kept me coming back has been the phenomenal Customer Support. That said, in the last week I have had some of the most terrible experiences with both an Apple Retail Store and the phone support I've ever had with a computer company. I'm generally frustrated with the situation I'm in, but that's neither here no there and I can cope with it and move on. What I'd like to do is file a complaint with the company for its own benefit so that heopefully this is a fluke and doesn't happen to someone that doesn't have such a good experience with the company. Had I not worked with Apple for so long I'm pretty sure I'd never buy another product after the terrible support I've gotten in the last week. Does anyone know a channel to pass along dissatisfaction with our experiences with customer support, etc.? Unfortunately the days of email Steve have passed.

If you read his post he was not a happy customer when he posted this 5 years ago.

Where you complain would depend on what your complaint is. Wish Apple would make some type of hardware? Send it here: https://www.apple.com/feedback/

Have a problem with a Genius Bar employee? Contact the service manager at the store.

You can also call AppleCare if it is a service issue and ask to be transferred to Customer Service.

Apple Retail Store issues go through the Store Manager - in person is best, I'd think.

Apple removed the ability to leave feedback about Support a while ago.

Though no Apple statement on the issue, I am thinking that the support staff may be reporting to the "product department"

If that is true (or not), you can leave any comment that you like via the product that was the subject of your call at Product Feedback - Apple

Before you move on to Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. let me warn you in advance that if you drop your computer and break it they will tell you the exact same thing. Also, if you have an accident with your car and take it to the dealership and ask for it to be fixed under the warranty they will not do so. Warranties do not cover accidental damage just as a theft of your computer would not have been covered. I would never have considered asking for a computer that I broke be covered by warranty.

What I would suggest to you is when you buy your next laptop from what ever company (I would strongly encourage you to consider Lenovo over the other brands I mentioned) that you contact your insurance agent that handles your homeowners/renters insurance and add a personal property item to your policy that covers your laptop. If you had done this the policy would have paid for the repair/replacement of your laptop. While you are adding your new laptop also add the other MacBook Air you currently own.

No problem - just so you know: we are all other users and volunteer our time to help. Apple support does not become involved here. Apple support will direct you to these forums if they think your questions can be answered here.

So, I will suggest that you start a new thread in the appropriate forum and detail your question/problem - make sure you post all details incl. your model/year device and OS version.
