You do not ned to authorize for all itunes music purchased over the past several years, as all itunes music is itunes plus:
"Songs you encode in AAC format from a source other than the iTunes Store, such as your own audio CDs, and iTunes Plus content (music and music videos) do not need to be authorized."

Way Thx. So.... then on a downloaded song. That I want to GIVE 2 My daughter, who is a household member, & have it NOT tied to my iTunes account, cuz she's moving to another state ... 4 college, & when i move the DOWNLOADED version of the song to her computer & it requires authrization ... what the heck. I paid for the right to listen to it ... & we established i can give it to her ... What is up with it? I can't have an iTunes account 4ever. I'm i getting the point across or no? If i give her the CD ... al is good. Then there HAS to B a difference?
UR last statement is GREATLY helpful. So in the past ... There R songes that require authorization. Now .... in current form ANY song i DOWNLOAD, is able to transfeer to an UNAUTHORIZED computer & play? Just like i purchased the CD?
