Apple screws Ipad 3 customers with iPad 4

I purchased iPad 3 two months ago. Now iPad 4 is out and twice as fast. I just wasted 729 dollars? IS nothing going to be done for the loyal apple customers who believed our expensive purchase wouldn't be obsolete in two months? THIS HAS NEVER been apples policy in past to upgrade before a year. Very disappointed

"Your response was totally uncalled for. I think it was patronizing. Any Apple customer has the right to have his voice/opinion and suggestions heard as long as he has not insulted anyone. I feel you did."

Even if I had a pencil in my hand, I would not write down a single word of your response. I responded to a post that asked bout the lack of a response from Apple, and I detailed why a response was not necessary. Evidently, you did not read that portion of my post.

"I was referring to Carl wolfe's..."

As I have to remind other children, my family name is spelled "one 'f', no 'e'".

The bottom line is that Apple have to stay ahead of the competition ("What competition" I hear some of you say).

With the usual pre-Christmas plethora of new devices they just want to offer a USP (unique selling proposition/point).

Any company worth its salt will react to competition in an aggressive way, even if it is partly to the detriment of its existing customers. It happens everywhere. It's not just Apple trying to elicit an additional purchase from recent purchasers.

If you are happy with what you have and a new OS isn't going to make that much difference, then fine. If you have to have the latest, greatest offering then you have a problem... irrespective of what technology floats your boat.

If I were a business owner having just shelled out a bundle of cash for multiple devices... I suppose I would feel somewhat screwed, but this is what happens in the world of technology, and will continue to do so at a rapid rate.

Life's like that. Budget for device life expectancy and you won't be overly disappointed.

Again off topic for this thread but worth mentioning ref apple ipad mini..Just read a review from CNET where the ipad mini was stripped down.

Acording to the review theirs a Samsung intergrated display driver circuit in there..Plus a bucket load of glue holding it together internaly.and would make for a viirtualy impossible repair .If this equates to a quality product compared to the competition then the competition has the quality product where build is concerned & cheaper..Will try to add a link...

I actually had a chance to play with a ipad mini and for reading books, web pages its painfull on the eyes..The text is fuzzy around the edges & I'm not the only one to point this out . When you go on youtube for instance and go for full screen you don't get full screen video wise. This applies to any movie not just youtube. The address bar stays on top and theirs thick black blank spaces either side with the video in the middle..When you pick it up with the charger plugged in and move you're fingers underneath on the aliminium you get a strange tingling sensation through you're fingers, the larger ipad does not do this..Could well be a poor earthing issue and its building up static electricity..

Bought my ipad 3 on holiday in Orlando USA three weeks ago... Contacted customer services who said they would not swap my ipad for the new model because it was from America.. I said that i didnt want a refund just the latest tech and a swap would be fine..(they are all manufactured in the same Chinese plant anyway so whats the difference..)

No store in uk will do it as it was over 14 days and also US origin... Fobbed of with a voucher, meaning i have to spend even more in the overpriced store to claim my voucher.... Apple is going to lose loads of customers over this... Remember when Nokia was the main player..& where are they now..!

Disgusted with Apple over this... Once my iPhone contracts run out and PC needs replacing it will not be by Apple.

Hope Apple read forums... But i doubt it.... They've got my money and ran with it like a street seller.
