Apple screws Ipad 3 customers with iPad 4

I purchased iPad 3 two months ago. Now iPad 4 is out and twice as fast. I just wasted 729 dollars? IS nothing going to be done for the loyal apple customers who believed our expensive purchase wouldn't be obsolete in two months? THIS HAS NEVER been apples policy in past to upgrade before a year. Very disappointed

I'm going to think long and hard on that one. Most likely, it is still in the cards, but I may get one of the cheaper versions. Or wait until refurbished ones start popping up on the Apple site. Have definitely decided to pass on the iPhone 5, which was to be my first cell phone ever. As for their other products—desktops and iPods, mostly—we'll see. For certain, the thrill of buying an Apple product has been replaced with anxiety. I feel more like a lemming about to go over the cliff. I agree with those who say this isn't the company it used to be (or that it has gone way back to the company it used to be before Jobs returned).

I bought mine 2 days ago from the re-seller JB HIFI. Where I'm from we don't have an Apple store. So now I need to adher to their refund policy. I don't think I even have access to the 14 day refund policy if you're not satisied. that Apple offers. Could anyone clarify if I do or not? Very unhappy and won't be buyng **** from Apple again. F$%& them!

You can find the JB HiFi return policy here:

Or start with this page and follow the links:

It looks like you can return unopened products within 30 days for any reason. For opened products, it's much less clear. I didn't see anything that you could return it unless the device was faulty or had failed. If it is opened, which I assume it is, and working fine, then you should go here and contact them:

I have been a loyal apple fan for about six years now, I have bought every iPhone and I currently have the iPhone 5, I also own the iPad 3 that I bought about 5 and a have months ago, And how douse Apple Pay its loyal fans? It screws them over by releasing a iPad that has a faster CPU and GPU. From now on I will think twice before buying another Apple product

I agree. Nearly 800 bucks and my ipad is obsolete!!! There are some of us who (if you looked at our accounts and saw just how much we have spent) have supported Apple even through the dark years when Apple struggled to survive, we were there showing loyalty and commitment. What do I get in return???? a discontinued, redundent, worthless product!

This would never have happened not all that long ago, and I think you all know what I mean. I would expect Apple to do the right thing and upgrade without charge those of us who have been thrown into this situation.

I and many many many others I know have lost all respect, dedication, and loyalty to Apple as acompany due to this, and will be looking very carefully as to weather continued support is deserved!!!

This makes me sad as I have always loved Apple.
