Apple screws Ipad 3 customers with iPad 4

I purchased iPad 3 two months ago. Now iPad 4 is out and twice as fast. I just wasted 729 dollars? IS nothing going to be done for the loyal apple customers who believed our expensive purchase wouldn't be obsolete in two months? THIS HAS NEVER been apples policy in past to upgrade before a year. Very disappointed

I too think Apple should offer all Ipad 3 owners the option to trade in for the new improved version ! I agree with others here that the Ipad 3 was released prematurely , Apple should have just held off until it was ready for release. I think it's funny when people try to justify this release by saying Apple was just trying to optimize its profit margin. In case you missed it Apple is the most profitable company in history, this is nothing but a drop in the bucket to them. If enough of Apples customers feel wronged or cheated by this release Apple should make it rite !

I bought my ipad "3" 17 days ago!!!!!!!! October 8th!!!

I think we all expected the new mini... but NOT an upgraded ipad 3 ALREADY. ***???? here's a link to reddit that shows how apple thinks about it. This is a discussion i had with "jonathan", who apparently is a bot.. he told me that the 3 is comparible to the 4. I said apple says the 4 is TWICE as fast.. to which he says they're still comparible... whatta joke...

and ya know what. I bought the ipad 3 in lieu of the iphone 5. so darn mad about this.....

This is the beginning of Apple loosing the undivided support of their existing customer community - which they will regret from the hindsight, but are factually likely not able to fix it - they cannot take back 10Mill iPads. I will think twice in future before buying a new product. It's like a child's learning behavior...you burn money only once - it will basically cost me $300 of value loss - but will not pay out for Apple long-term. I was considering to upgrade my iMac before Xmas - no way...I will wait until my old one breaks....
