Listen guys and gals, I didn't mean to start some sort of debate on the topic of Apple.
However, the reason my response was "snarky" is because my original post explicitly stated "email or snail mail address". Any moron can find the Contact Us page on the main website, but this contains just numbers to call.
Given my complaint will be formal, it needs to be in writing (fax, letter or email are all acceptable).
The truth of the matter is that many people on this forum canonize Apple and I had expected some "why on earth would you complain" style defensive responses, but not to this level. This is a user-to-user forum and thus I had expected that others might have joined seeking advice on faulty products that may well have ended up other users making a complaint. I had hoped they could provide me with the address they used.
My error was that I apophasised. All I want is a UK mainland address be that an email or snail mail address. I don't want the feedback form and I don't want a contact page with a list of premium numbers to call.
The only real constructive advice so far has come from Seventy One, whom I thanked. Laundry Bleach was also comprehensive, but gave me details that I didn’t really need (e.g. USA mainland address).
Klaus 1 - it is not the Sale of Goods Act that I am referring to. Again, I appreciate you are trying to provide sound advice, but you are not really answering my question. Also, my complaint is my concern and I intentionally chose not to divulge it.
Babowa - I spoke to a corporate lawyer and they said it deals with where a company trades, not necessarily where they are incorporated. Otherwise, a firm could register/incorporate in an extremely low governance region/country and do what the heck it liked. Thankfully I studied at the same university as this guy when I was doing my MSc, so he is providing this advice for free!
Varjak paw - I appreciate you are probably some super Apple fan, but I fail to see how asking for the snail mail or email address of Apple complaints breaches any policy...
Comments like those from Romad are just recusant and are not constructive. His comments regarding "dumb judges' ruling further illustrates their bias and I'd ask they comment no more.
I'd also appreciate if the admin could delete the thread hijack comments. I simply asked other users like myself if they knew the email/snail mail address, I certainly didn't expect most of the comments made here! People didn't read my OP properly and therefore posted nonsense.
Thankfully, the issue has now partially been addressed as I emailed and now have Erika from Executive Relations helping.
