Facebook crashes when opening after opening. This is a result of the iOS 6.01 update. I am little surprised apple didn't test this as facebook is core functionality integrated into the phone now.
iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1
My FB app works fine and I just updated to 6.0.1.
Since FB is a third party app, it has nothing to do with Apple. Suggest contact the app developer or look at their support site to resolve your issue. Or delete and reinstall the app.
It is a 3rd party app, but it is integrated into the pictures, and other parts of the core operating system. Which will now no longer function.
I have done a hard reset. no luck.
Do you have a iphone 4S?
I am having this problem too. So is my husband and my coworker who also just updated. Started happening after the 6.0.1 update. Didn't do it right away, but after scrolling down in the newsfeed for a minute or so it crashed. Now it's crashing the moment my newsfeed loads.
To me it seems like it is occuring when facebook is trying to fetch data.
Actually it appears removing the app and reinstalling works for me currently.

Sorry, I forgot to mention... I have the iPhone 5.
Try deleting the app and reinstalling it.
Jugernuts -Try removing and re-downloading it from the app store. It worked for me.
EDIT: This is no longer working for me
iPhone 5 here, same issue. Reinstall didn't work.
Just uninstalled and reinstalled and it's still crashing.
Nevermind. I take back what I said, its crashing again.
My iphone 4 running IOS 6 ran facebook without a hitch.
Just updated to 6.01 and Facebook opens then immediatley shuts.
Removed, rebooted, reinstalled.
Still crashing. Not very good at all!

Not due to 6.0.1 update. Mine started crashing about ten minutes before I got the update notification. I only did the update to see if it would fix things. It did not.
