iPad mini not charging

My iPad mini won't charge at all. I tried the wall adapter that came with it, the adapter for my iPhone, and a couple others I had around the house. Is anyone else having this problem??

Well, hopefully this will help (although the original question was just a few years ago) --

There seems to be a weird quirk in charging that it appears it is not working, when in fact it is charging. It will go white almost immediately and say "not charging" but in cord after cord I have used, I found that the iPad Mini is in fact charging. Once it gets to 100 percent, it goes GREEN.

Hope this helps.

This faulty charger causes overheat. It stops charging whenever it reaches max temperature.

You can try to charge under 20'C room temperature.

The charger will able to charge 100%.

Yeach.. It"s freakin' stupid. But Apple still doesn't acknowledge this issue.

Even the service centre refuses to exchange this faulty charger.

My solution: get myself a 12W charger for normal iPad.

It works fine!

At the end Apple is just great design with bad service and quality!

HAd the same exact problem as many here are facing, only charging till 88% or 89% and then it got disconnected.

BOught my ipad mini on the 30th June 2013 and there's 60% battery on it when purchased. And started charging it for the 1st time on 1st July and charging stopped at 89% and wont charge untill i pulled out the cable and reconnect it then only it will continue to charge to 100%. The next day when battery had drained to 15%,charged it for the 2nd time and same thing happened, charged at 88% and stopped there. Now the 3rd day after purchased, tried using my ipad 3rd generation's power adapter and with the ipad mini's cable, charged ipad mini and then only i get a smooth fluent charge to 100% without being disconnected. But what i am worry about here is whether the different power adapter which i am using from the ipad3 to charge my ipad mini will cause any harm to my device.

I have the same problem with the I pad mini not charging at all or not fully. Took it to an apple store to have it checked out. They said that the plug was not apple and that's where the problem is. They plugged my mini into there system and it started charging straight away. If I use my partners plug with my lightening cable it also charges straight away.

I I pad mini came in an apple box and contained the plug. !!! Have yet to purchase another plug as the shop could only offer two pin and I need a three pin and do not wish to use an adaptor. Julia

The temperature thing fixed my "Not Charging" issue. I just put my iPad mini along with charger and charger cord into my freezer for 5 mins, then tried again and it worked fine. I had tried different charging cables and adapters until I realized that a somewhat common comment on here was the 20 degrees C thing, so I just put it all in my freezer for 5 mins and voila! It just so happens that when this issue came up for me my area was experiencing a heat wave of 30 degree C + temperatures.

Hope this helps!!

Cheers.
