Sync Outlook 2013 with iCloud under Windows 7?

An errror shows stating that Outlook does not have a default profile. I have tried deleting and re-installing the iCloud control panel and Outlook definitely has a default profile. Still, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I'm just going to swicth to a Windows Phone (or maybe an Andriod). I was hesitant to get an iPhone, and after a year and a half with it I'm ready for something different. I don't expect Apple to be supporting beta versions of another companyy's software, but having said that I've gotten use to be able to use beta versions of all sorts of programs on my PC and have always found ways to make them work. (and before anyone else posts it, I know many view Windows a beta release).

I don't get how you have so many points, Csound1. In the five or six topics I've read where you responded, you've always talked down to people.

I think ranting here that it isn't fixed is a fine. Lets people who are searching Google for this issue see that there is not a resolution even a month after release. Otherwise people will wonder "well, the last post about this was Nov 20, so has it actually been solved already?"

Anyways, submit feedback to Apple directly. Though with Apple it will be fixed when it's fixed. They probably won't release a fix until they can do it with style at a Mac event or something in January.

If anyone finds a work around in the meantime. The most annoying thing is that I'm seeing some people report that it is actually working for them, while others (myself included) say it isnt. Perhaps an upgrade from Outlook 2010 to 2013 rather than a fresh install?

Also, one other thing to note for Csound1...

This page says "Outlook 2007 or later" and does not expressly limit to 2010 as the "later":

No doubt about that!

It's a shame on Apple.

The final version of Office 2013 was released on October 24th on TechNet and we are going to one month without any solution about this simple problem.

The iCloud for Windows needs an update urgently.

How can we reach the Apple's Engineers to show them that they need to help us here?

As far as I can tell we have been waiting for Microsoft to add the ability to read/write to a Mac partition for 15 years, be patient.

You didn't bother to go beyond the summary did you, this is what Apple say (had you gone one more page)

About iCloud Control Panel for Windows v2.0

The iCloud Control Panel makes it easy to keep your contacts, calendars, and bookmarks up to date automatically between your iOS devices and Windows PC.

It also includes Photo Stream, which wirelessly pushes photos you take with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the Pictures library on your PC — no cable syncing required.

You can also share select photos with friends and family using Shared Photo Streams, complete with notifications and comments.

Note: To create an iCloud account you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later. Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts, and calendars.

I read that second page. But the first page is what most users will read as its the "Quick Help".

It's fsrt misleading to as "we support all outlook after 2003" and then fine print it on e next page. Anyways it's obviously Apple's intention to support outlook clients going forward, or theyll screw themselves over in the market place, especially with android up and coming ad windows 8 browsing so much interconnectivity between your clients/within your ecosystem.

Keep flooding these forums with requests and complaints about lack of 2013 support, and perhaps Apple will take a look at tis faster. Granted 2013 isn't available for general public yet but it is released for enterprise and developers. They should be losing at support in a decently timey manner (given that an RC has been out for over 6 months).

End of the line, stop treating these forums as your own personal kingdom.

Take the time to properly troubleshoot the issue, and it will work.

I was one of those it didn't work for until the latest iCloud Control Panel was released. I use Windows 7 with Outlook 2013 (I've used Outlook 2013 since RC).

You have to uninstall the old iCloud Control Panel first and install the latest version. The latest iCloud control panel references the proper Outlook Registry entries.

The most drastic thing that may need to happen is a full uninstall and reinstall of Office 2013 to get it to work. Install office first, then iCloud.

As an aside, I see your still as snarky as ever, Csound1.
