Really slow export after upgrade 10.0.0.6

Hi FCPX users,

I've started many project with the older version 10.0.0.5 and have upgraded few days ago on the new 10.0.0.6

There are now a new export interface, and i would like to export my finished projects, so have choose the 720p preset.

It really seems that exporting my project are really slow, and i'm stucked on a 3 minutes projects that only arrived to 27% after 2 hours. I never had those kind of problem on my iMac (2011) with the older version.

I was proposed to duplicate the project, i do it (first option, only the project), but the problem was still there !

Some other solutions ?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Well, what apple's world was so different that windows one 🙂

I finally make backups of my projects, put FCPX in the trash, use FCS Remover, restart the computer and re-download FCPX from the AppleStore.

I'll open back one of my project that have made 4 hours to be rendered (for under 2 minutes of movies) and launch a new render.

Directly the 8 CPUs and HD graphics show me that the computer works ! Constatly progress from 0 to 100% in around 20 minutes.

You mentioned that you deleted the rendered files... How do you do that? I'm not familiar with this...

Inside Final Cut Pro, go to

File->Delete Project Render Files...

Or, in case Final Cut Pro hangs when loading a project, so you suspect a corrupt render file but cannot delete in FCP X, quit, go to the Finder, and locate the "Render Files" folder inside your project folder. Trash it.
