installed MacBook Pro 2.0 update, and many problems exist!! Mac OS X now continuously asks for "login" keychain permissions; DVDs refuse to eject after pressing the eject button and/or click eject both in DVD player and Finder; the MBP itself seems slow!

I'm getting the same keychain problems and they're REALLY annoying. I don't have a CDROM drive so I can't test that.

Apple PLEASE fix this ASAP. I might be tempted to use my Windows PC if you don't. (gulp!)

Oh, and Keychain First Aid (in Keychain Access) does nothing. It says everything is fine.

I also had this problem with a new 15" retina MBP. Keychain First Aid and repairing permissions did nothing. I deleted the login keychain and made a new one -- nothing.

For now, I've used TimeMachine to restore the system back to before the install. This worked, but isn't a 'solution'. Lost half my weekend too.

I'm mainly posting here in the hope that Apple checks these boards. There are lots of comments all over the web about this error. I haven't seen any solutions yet though. Any ideas anyone?

I've been having issues with this too. It sometimes seems like a permissions issue, but I've found that it most reliably crops up if the apps were set to restore after the Mac restarts.

Nothing works reliably then and the only solution is to quit each of the apps and restart them, and that includes the Finder. Still, some things that worked before don't now. If I try to doube click an item in the Keychain with my mouse, it won't open, Same with text in pages. a double click once selected a word, now it does nothing.

Running this 10.82 update on a rMBPro.

I've also had to disable the lock screen on startup and wake. That would reliably trigger dark screen with occasional flickering that wouldn't allow me to enter a password or to access the desktop anymore.

I have contacted AppleCare, but at this stage, they don't seem to have a solution. They just told me to wait for the next update.

It doesn't sound like anyone has found a fix for this yet.

This seems to have helped my symptoms:

1. Click on Apple Menu-> Shutdown....
2. UNcheck "Reopen windows when logging back in"
3. Click Shut Down
4. I waited about 30 seconds, but you may not have to
5. Startup again normally and login

Many of my keychain issues disappeared at this point. I'm still investigating to see if they are all gone.

Interesting. Unfortunately I have that box unchecked by default, but I still had keychain errors. I'd be interested to hear if this completely clears things up for you.

It's a complete balls up.

I had to restore form Time Machine - took out more than half my work day. I couldn't work with the mess that resulted from Update 2.0.

A really poor update here. How did it pass QA given it only ran on such a select number of models?

The only problem I had after installing the update is my MacBook Pro is SUPER SLOW. I kid you not when I say it took my Mac OVER AN HOUR to fully awaken from sleep mode before I could even use the trackpad! It's still very sluggish after a couple of hours. Being a student and all, this is a major inconvenience.

I'm having same issue here and its annoying had to restart my laptop every now and then... keep getting "Mac os x wants to use the "login" keychain. Please enter the keychain password."! it messes up wth my Outlook, my Lync and to all my browser. Also to my facetime and iMessage! all of this weird stuff came since my last update. so ******!!!! 😠

So far so good. Rebooting without reopening windows at Login seems to have helped. I can't find many, if any, remaining problems. I didn't mention this in my earlier post, but before rebooting, I exited the utilities that were failing, such as Fantastical.

If you're having this problem try opening Keychain Access.app and running Keychain First Aid. Errors in the keychain can cause symptoms like this too. (When I tried it showed no errors.) I'd also try repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk in Disk Utility, just in case. (I had one minor permissions issue that was fixed and no errors on the disk.)

I had this issue right after installing the update. Called AppleCare, the only fix at this point is to re-install the OS and not to install that update.

Really *****, I lost several days of work with this one.

I got the problem after upgrade to 2.0

Machine: 15inch Mid 2012 Unibody MacBook Pro 2.6

• When wake from sleep , it blink 0.5 second and turn off the LCD again
• Permission problem, sometime can't copy file from NAS to Desktop ( it's OK before update and AFTER restore)
• 3rd party SSD can't enable TRIM again
• keychain problem

Tried:

• Reset P-RAM
• Reinstall a new system
• Reset SMC
• Fix Permission / Verify , Repair Disk in Recovery

I have the same problem! I tryied to remove and create again the login keychain... nothing, the bug is always here! So I decided to enable password access to all applications. No annoying issue for 1 work day, but this evening the keychain nightmare came back.

Please, Apple, fix asap.
