I am connected to the hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear.

Hi,

I am connected to my hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear. I am able to access the login page on my PC, but on the iPhone it does not appear and just tries to connect to the webpage (e.g. google.co.uk), and eventually gives up. I've tried opening pages in Safari and Chrome, but none cause the login screen to appear. I have also tried trying to log into the login page that the PC opens when connected to the wifi, but the same thing happens. I am using a iPhone 3G with the latest iOS version 6.0.1.

Is there a way to make the iPhone try to open the login page?

I have an iPhone 7plus and it does this at work. EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have saved off a series of hyperlinks in a note that I click on to get the login page to show. Seems to do the trick every time. Just need to click one of them.

This solution from rorford worked for me just now. I have been having this problem for several months at hotels, never able to solve it. None of the other solutions worked for me, and I tried *all* of them...multiple times. I have iPass and immediately after setting an auto login exclusion for this hotel network in iPass, it worked! Thanks rorford!

Okay, here's what I had to do with IT's help. I am on a campus network that has an open network and a secure network. I typically would use the secure system due to greater bandwidth, and my iPhone 6 would prompt me to authorize via username and password. The PW was my employee master login. Today I just happened to hit the autofill button to see if it had remembered the user/pass to speed login, after which it would only ask for a password. I assumed incorrectly that it was autofilling something or nothing into the user field, thus making it impossible for me to login. I tried everything in this thread, and finally called IT. What actually happened was that hitting autofill kicked me out of a first level of authentication on the system which was autofilling and was thus transparent. The network isn't visible unless you have this initial WPA2 authentication. Entering that password first brought me back to the authentication screen where my user/pw worked fine. I'm thinking others are having a similar issue, so think one tier higher if having difficulty. TY

I am at a hotel and had this same issue. It worked on every other device I had (two laptops & an iPhone), but it would NOT work on my iPad. I could connect to the wireless SSID, and the authentication page would immediately pop up. However, once I clicked on the button to accept the terms, it showed a blank screen - as if it was trying to authenticate but wouldn't.

I tried all solutions here sans the boingo option since I didn't have that loaded. Nothing worked. I then started digging and found my solution. Hopefully it helps others, too.

Settings\Safari\Privacy & Security\Block Cookies - I had it set to Always Block. I changed it to Allow from Websites I Visit, and that fixed it for me.

Good luck.

I found that the "Assist me..." button on the bottom of the Network Preferences portion of System Preferences caused the login page to come up. Click the "Assist me..." button then click "Diagnostics..." and from there follow the prompts. For me, it took half a minute for the computer to try getting out to the internet and then the login page magically appeared on a page that I was trying to load.

I am connected to the hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear.
