Can't update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2

We are upgrading our Macs to Mac Minis in our office. I have currently set up at lease 6 of them and upgraded from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2. The mini I am currently working on does not display the 10.8.2 upgrade in the app store. The iPhoto update is displayed but won't install because I do not have 10.8.2. I have downloaded the 10.8.2 combo and the 10.8.2 but it won't load. the message is "the volume doesn't meet the requirements for this update". This is the same machine as the others I have just updated. They are all brand new. Please help!

Apple removed the update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 today!

The combo updates are for the earlyer macs, but the 2012er versions have a special 10.8.2 build,

i tried to download the special combo update for my mac mini 2012 but the download link

from apple is removed too!

i think we should wait 😟

Although I agree with most of your assessment, this one has no validity. A company that fails its customers eventually fails, unless the company is protected by the government. Witness CountryWide and Wachovia as the former and GM and Chrysler as the latter.

When a company become big it also becomes greedy and tends to underestimate the very consumers who made them rich.

Among the golden rules of technical support are (1) to communicate to the customer how they are affected, and (2) to provide interim workarounds to ensure business continuity. These don't necessarily apply to consumer-grade support, but the Mac line of computers have the highest commercial and enterprise penetration, and the highest retail value among Apple's overall product line. And I'm not seeing either of these rules followed.

I would wager that major enterprise and EDU accounts have received details about this bug and resolution timeframe. However, we peons are kept in the dark in a vain attempt to prevent PR blowback.

Can confirm what Galatian wrote: just downloaded this supplement update running 10.8.1 on my system. When trying to install it it just says that my computer does not support this software.

So I guess this fix is just for people who already have been updating to 10.8.2.

Hopefully Apple comes out with a fix for us with 10.8.1 on late 2012 machines as well now...

I get the same message trying to apply it on my 15" MBP-R which was updated to 10.8.2.
