Can't update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2

We are upgrading our Macs to Mac Minis in our office. I have currently set up at lease 6 of them and upgraded from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2. The mini I am currently working on does not display the 10.8.2 upgrade in the app store. The iPhoto update is displayed but won't install because I do not have 10.8.2. I have downloaded the 10.8.2 combo and the 10.8.2 but it won't load. the message is "the volume doesn't meet the requirements for this update". This is the same machine as the others I have just updated. They are all brand new. Please help!

Apple removed the update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 today!

The combo updates are for the earlyer macs, but the 2012er versions have a special 10.8.2 build,

i tried to download the special combo update for my mac mini 2012 but the download link

from apple is removed too!

i think we should wait 😟

I noticed the HDMI issue shortly afer getting my new Mac Mini. I have it connected directly to an ASUS VW246H display via direct HDMI. Maybe it only affects users with only one display? I dunno. It was happening with the 10.8.1 that was installed with I received the Mini and continues after updating to 10.8.2 and applying the supplemental update 2.0 to that. It's not a deal breaker by any means for me as so for it's very interemittant and occasional and the display always returns in less than 5 seconds or so. I'm hoping that 10.8.3, whenever that arrives, address it.

I keep hearing everyone say that it will be fixed soon. What a broad term that is, and in the eye of the beholder, right? Well, My computer was working horribly, no mention from Apple of course, reinstall the OS to find out I can't update or download iPhoto. But it will all be fixed soon, according to them. Are we there yet? How about better communication? This is not some super secret product, it's the people that want to enjoy using your products that are currently being sold, BROKEN basically. All I want is better answers, not vague promises. And, if it doesn't get fixed SOON, then I will vote with my dollars next time.

I have the same issue. Was on the phone with Apple Care today for an hour and the final recommendation was to make an appointment with the Genius Bar. Based on this thread, it seems like that would be a waste of time. I will just keep monitoring this thread until there is a sign that the problem has been addressed. But the clock is kicking on my money back guarantee with Best Buy. If that deadline comes first, Mac Mini goes back to the store.

I'm disappointed too. We just bought the Mac Mini 2012 to replace our aging 2007 Imac. But we can't use Iphoto and there's the HDMI glitch that's been referenced elsewhere that's a real problem in a two monitor setup. Really disappointing. Surprising too as I can't remember the last time I had that feeling with a new Apple product. These issues aren't the end of the world, but I guess I've come to expect so much more Apple. When was the last time any of us bought an Apple product and weren't blown away from the start. I'm actually on the verge of regretting not buying a Dell XPS One 27 inch touchscreen instead.

Well it worked for me and i just bought the macbook pro retina it wasnt downloading 10.8.2 sothese are the steps I took:

1. did fresh install including erasing everything on my hard drive using disk utility

2. Install the os

3. I went to that site and downloaded that build

4.Once installed i installed the remaining updates that showed in the app store

Can't update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2
