Twitter notifications not working iOS6

Since i got my iPhone 5 my twitter notifications have not been coming up in the notification centre, i have all the correct settings enabled, have tried unistalling etc, tried under different accounts, just doesn't work! If i receive a tweet i just don't find out about it until i manually check the app.

iMessages and emails are being pushed to me fine and show up in my notification centre.

Any help please?

The banners are now working within the Twitter app itself but on any other apps such as Hootsuite that I used to use they aren't working at all!

I've definately got all of the settings set up correctly too. I'm now just missing the red number notifications on them.

I think it's disgusting and unprofessional of Apple to do this to customers.

I shall be swapping out phones at the earliest opportunity as think they have been so unsupportive to customers on this matter. I'm still really annoyed I lost out at business as a result of this too. I'm having to switch to text alerts to ensure I get things, which is going to be manic!

It may be complete coincidence but, after trying the 'hold home and power buttons' soft reset recommended by smartphone_uk, my twitter push notifications are working again! (still waiting to see if farcebook push notifications are also fixed)

Might be that the app cache just needed clearing (if that is indeed what that kind of soft reset does)... Is odd that these issues are only arising with the apps with iOS integration, and that said issues only arrive at the point iOS integration is introduced!

(for me Twitter push notifications stopped working with the jump to iOS 5 and facepoke push notifications stopped with the jump to iOS 6)

Anyway, thought i'd chime in as this has been bugging me for months now and now might actually be solved! Cheers!

Notifications for all my apps work fine except for Twitter and Facebook Can Apple please post a reply to this? It's really annoying reading through all these threads and there is no clear answer. It must be a bug if so many people are posting about it.

I owned a 4s before and they worked perfectly. Now I'm starting to miss my old phone. Could it be related to having installed from a backup in itunes when I switched to iphone 5? I tried resetting the phone by holding down the power button and I've checked and rechecked that notifcations are turned on for Twitter in the Settings > Notifications. I've also checked and rechecked on Facebook that it is set to send notfications to my phone.

Just got my Twitter sorted! My Facebook was fine anyway, If you haven't already tried, Go on the 'Me' tab for your profile, there should be a small gear under your tweet count, press the gear then press settings, notifications will then be at the top, press that and you may find 'Tweets, mentions etc' turned off

Hope I helped

AS IF THIS IS ALL I NEEDED TO DO!!!!!...Apple you are SHOCKING......

As for MikeyBye......You my friend are GREAT.......

THANK YOU SO MUCH 😀

Hi! I was having the same problem today, and i think i have found the solution. If you go to your Twitter App, there is a notifications category under Setting when you go to "Me" select everyone instead of "Followers" which the App is defaulted too. I just this just to see if it worked and i did get a notification of a Favorite after i changed these settings. Hope this helped!
