Twitter notifications not working iOS6

On my iPhone 5/OS6.01 twitter notifications are working fine now: alerts, sounds, banners.

On the 4s/6.01 they didn't work yet. Interesting moment: I restarted 4s, nothing doesn't work, I'm turning on new notification on new follower and I'm recieving alerts onto 5 and silent on 4s although twits come in both.

yes, twitter is fully working but not FB; for me FB works intermitent...

I will let you know, when/ if the alert notifications start to work.

As of today, Twitter notifications, sounds, and banners have returned.

However, Facebook has not for my iPhone 5. My iPad 4 Twitter just started working too. Facebook works on iPad.

Now to sit any wait.

Also, all have most up-to-date iOS, 6.0.1

Twitter on my Verizon iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1 still isn't giving me the notifications.

Twitter on my 4th Gen iPod Touch with iOS 6.0.1 is still working and has worked the whole time I've had it (i.e. this iOS and previous versions).

I have access to an iPhone 4, IOS is 6.0.1, twitter version is 5.1.

Twitter alerts/notifications/banners are working perfectly.

My iphone 5 has the same version of IOS and twitter,but still fails to alert when a tweet has been received.

To day i have re checked my setting's on my twitter app and on my iphone 3gs, removed my account on my iphone and rebootted the phone reentered my account details on my iphone and still twitter does not send me any alerts or notifications when new tweets come through.

The only thing i have not done is deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled it my be i'll try that at some point today

It's weird that only some people got it fixed. Other thing that can be tried is to restore to factory settings and then restore with the iCloud or iTunes backup; and see if that helps.

I confirm: second day Twitter works on the iPhone 5 and 4s but notifications (sound, banner, popup) are working properly only on the iPhone 5.

FB is ok on both. simultaneously.

I'm please to announce that my iphone 5 (IOS 6.0.1) using Twitter app version 5.1 is now generating audible alerts.

I took my phone into a O2 shop today and spoke to one their guru's. Extremely knowledgeable to say the least.

My iphone was re-set by holding down the "Sleep/ Wake" button along with "Home" button at the same time.

The iphone performed a reset function that clears the cache as I understood it,this is different to just power cycling the iphone.

shortly afterwards the the apple icon appears indicating the reset has completed.

Twitter notifications/audible alerts came flooding in.

The above fix worked for me,so it may just work for you.

Looking at other aspects of the my iphone 5, very impressed so far.

this is hardly fair, seems its working for everyone now except for me. ive done everything i can to try fix it very frustrating. this is why i shouldnt install ios updates

Well, my iPhone 5 i now making audible notifications for Twitter, how ever im not getting the little red icon with the number of notifications on the app... =(

It seems this fix only fixed it for the iphone 5. I have an iphone 4s and still can't get notifications. I thought it was the app I was using but it's not. All the settings in my iphone are on the correct settings but nothing happens.

I actually lost out on business as a result of this as I didn't realise it was happening. The client went else where because I didn't realise they had sent me a message. Very disappointed in this.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a fix for the iphone 4s???!!!!!!!

Not impressed by the support from Apple on this.!

I've got the same picture. Twiter/FB notifications are working properly on my iPhone5 and dead on the 4s. I don't use 4s recently and stoped looking for a solution this issue.
