You have to send it back to US to avail the warranty benefit on your phone.

Same problem with sleep button and Genius bar booked "BUT" does anyone know if a Black can be swapped for a white as the outer surround on the black can mark easily where as the white is brushed metal and will not mark. I have had a rugged cover on but the thing becomes the size of a house brick.

No, a Black cant be swapped with a White as replacement. Only the exact equivalent of the iPhone which you had purchased would be given as replacement.

The question is, how you gonna send it from one country to another ??

I also have this problem and my phone isn't jailbroken. Will get stuck on standby every once in a while and won't respond to either power button or home button, it's almost like the battery has died, after a few presses on both home button and power button it comes back to life. It has done this since new about five times and each time takes longer to come back on. Also the screen flicks on and off sometimes when coming off standby.

Actrually, the thing is the Phone itself is so expensive that even DHL cant ship it for you from India (particularly).

Moreover, lets say you are successfull in shipping it out then who gonna ship it back for you ??

I bought my iphone5 from Germany. The sleep wake button's Right side is not working left side is working but needs to press hard. It never drops or and never contact with liquid even there is not any scrach on it. Its a hardware problem. Its not my fault. I am living in Turkey and there is no Apple store in Turkey .My friend had a trip in USA and I request him to bring it with him . But in the USA Apple Store told my friend that I have to go Germany for replacement or repairing and they did NOTHING. I bought an APPLE and its still in guarntiee period, BUT they told that only Germany Apple store can replace it. or repair it. Is it logical to go Germany from Turkey for repalce a phone ? even I sent it to USA. The guarantiee is vaild only in Germany. As a result if you buy an apple please dont treval becouse your guarantee vaild only your country .
