Iphone 4S wont connect to wifi since updating to iOS 6.0.1, can anyone help?

HELP?! my iphone 4S wont let me turn my wifi on since updating to iOS 6.0.1?

i have tried clearing history and cookie and data, re-booting my phone, resetting my network setting and still nothing? as i go to the wifi tab it wont even let me turn my wifi on, so i can not try changing it to auto

also i have no signal as i am on 3 so i can not currently use my phone till the wifi is working again and this is driving me mad!

can anyone help?

chrisfromgastonia- it's still not worked? wifi will still not turn on? I have tried resetting the settings on my phone again and still it is not working?

Turn your wifi router off for a few minutes, then turn back on. Also go to settings, wifi, tap on the arrow to the right of your wifi name , when next screen comes up, click on forget this network. then go out, now hold the home and off button down until the apple symbol comes up. As soon as your phone is back up, go back into settings , wifi, and tap on your wifi name and enter your wifi password if you have one. See if this works.

chrisfromgastonia- I cant even get onto my wifi? it wont let me turn it on its all greyed out?

chrisfromgastonia- okay this time something completely different happened to last time I restored my phone, last time when restoring I was able to use my phone this time it has come up with the apple sign and a loading bar? is this what was supposed to happen the first time?

You have three options left, 1) put your phone into DFU mode. 2) make an appointment at an apple genius bar and see if they can help. 3) wait for an update to see if it fixes the issue.

chrisfromgastonia- right, with the DFU mode, is it just like jailbreaking your phone?

NO, just puts your phone into recovery mode and takes everything including the ios out and then reinstalls it.
