iPhone 4 will not sync music since upgrading to iOS 6

Recently upgraded by iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and now the music and apps will not sync.

I am running the newest version of iTunes on a macbook.

I have tried soft resets and hard resets

I have tried re-installing iOS 6

I have tried (and failed) downgrading back to iOS 5.1.1

At first when i pressed play, the music player would continually skip past every song as though they werent there.

HELP?!

Guys, I bought an iPhone 4 some days ago and I had the exact problem. I've spent 2 hours and a half with Apple Online Support in order to try to solve it and the specialists couldn't solve. I had the iOS 6 for the phone and a MacBook Air with OSX last version (10.8.3) and iTunes 11.0.2 and nothing could be done. Fortunately, as I bought my phone in an official Apple Store, I went there and changed for a new device (another brand new iPhone 4). Now it is working perfectly, so I suppose that it is a hardware problem and nothing can be done except changing the device. The specialists from Apple didn't assume that it was a hardware problem, but it seems obvious to me. Good luck.
