First Generation AppleTV Compatible with iTunes 11

There is no software update for the ATV1, the last one is 3.0.2 which came out some time ago. I doubt if we will ever see another update for the ATV1. The concern here was how it would react with the new iTunes 11.

iTunes 11 and Apple TV 3.0.2 work exactly the same as with previous versions of iTunes.

I have the exact same problem: Device shows up on the tool bar but only allows me to sync photos. Did you find a solution?

Do you still have same options to configure custom settings as in iTunes 10?

As already mentioned here iTunes 11 and Apple TV 3.0.2 work exactly the same as with previous versions of iTunes. So yes, the sync settings in iTunes 11 are the same as the ones in iTunes 10. I suspect the people having issues with missing sync settings can fix it by Restoring the ATV with the new iTunes. I never had any issues with the update.

Edit: Mixing up devices, the ATV 1 is Restored through the ATVs Settings/General menu.

Crhendo, you mention a 1.5 tab hd for your Apple TV 1st gen. Everything I've seen caps out at 320gb. Where can I find a larger hd?

I am sadly disappointed with the service provided with Apple Tv1 and the all brand new itunes 11. I wish Apple would remind themselves on their well reknown customer service and their "plug-and-play" philosophy. Unfortunately I am so disappointed that I am considering using alternative computers, etc in future.

What is your issue? I have a 1G ATV working the same way with iTunes 11 as it did with iTunes 10.
