Apple is more and more a cold money-machine like most other companies. This program is made to get more of your money, not to use your music collection. i hate it. Does someone know a itunes alternative?

    Just use the iTunes Feedback.

Thanks God I could go back to iTunes 10.7 on MacOS, here are the instructions:

Firstly Maps in iOS 6 and now iTunes 11 hahaha... what's next Apple?

    Good luck to everyone downgrading.

I did not even update to iTunes 11.

I see no point in discussing this. They simply have to bring back "Cover Flow", you can improve and change things, but you just don't simply remove the MAIN signature feature of your software, and expect people to be happy about it (majorly disappointed, actually). Well, they can, of course, but they might as well change the software name. It's not iTunes anymore.

    Please forgive my english.

    I rolled back to Itunes 10 ...

Eliminating cover flow from iTunes 11 is a huge disappointment from both an esthetic and practical viewpoint. Very discouraged about this downgrade in functionality from Apple.

I agree on all counts. Removing Cover Flow was a huge mistake IMHO.

Boy, do I miss Steve! This is the latest in a string of botched decision making that would never have happened if he was still here. The Apple I once knew (going on 20+ yrs of loyalty) is desintegrating. Cover flow was a beautiful experience that really separated Apple from the rest and was just one indicator of many showing that design was an utmost priority for the company with Steve at the helm.

Itunes 11 felt like a banal, mainstream, corporate wash lacking any kind of excitement or vision. So many lackluster screens/options to click through. Presentation of the music felt like stale crackers laid out flat on a paper plate. Thank G*d I was able to restore Itunes 10.7... wondering how long before The End comes

They said not enough people used Cover Flow, yet all of my friends did, just like me. IMO this was a big mistake!

How did they know?  No one asked me?

They probably think that their analytics and stats would tell them how many people used it.

Well i don't care how good your analytics are. You're system isn't going to know if people install iTunes using an offline installer (like we do) and then never connect to the net, or have*.apple etc pixeled at your firewall/router. (also like we do)

And don't tell me the "average" user doesn't do that. There is no such thing as the "averqage" user anymore.

In other news apple lost 5 BILLION $ in cash yesterday. Their stock is at a 3 month low. And fell another 27 points (5%) this morning. Geez i wonder why ?

As someone who has owned apple stock since i was old enough to walk this is pathetic.

The only thing i KNOW is that I've NEVER seen an iTunes showing anything different than the Cover Flow view! And I'm talking about at least 50 or 60 computers of family, friends, colleagues, etc. the point that I was sure it was the main or even the only view used all over the world. Now they are trying to convince me that it's not the case... and that, even worse, "too few" used it?

I even remember many "not so expert" friends asking me if there was a way to show Cover Flow on iTunes in Mac OS or Windows while listening to music from an idevice. I was expecting Cover Flow to be improved and impletemented also for connected devices... and NOT for it to be removed!

It makes no sense at all.

    (Again, please forgive my english)

I am genuinely perplexed. I just posted what I considered to be a very thoughtful, detailed opinion on the recent AppleInsider article which stated that Apple said Cover Flow would not be returned to iTunes because it wasn't used by enough people, and Apple removed the post from this forum. In their email to me, they said it was removed because it contained "speculation or rumors and non-constructive rants or complaints". I feel strongly that my post contained none of these, and was very useful to the discussion. So I really have no idea why Apple removed the post. Perhaps they'll remove this one, too???

I would NOT have upgraded if I realised I would lose coverflow.
