We all have to cope with changes guys. That or go elsewhere. Personally I don't like 11 either.. Hope something good comes from it.

We all have to cope with changes... I don't think so Sir!

Love it, change it or leave it!

I want to change it and with the power of us as consumers we can!!!

    Tell Apple what you think:

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

And then it's Apple's decision if I choose left way (love it) or right way (leave it).

Google iTunes 10 and see results. Sorry mister host person but its still apple. If you'd like to meet in person and have some coffee, maybe some lunch I'm sure we could have a nice talk. :3

Why are you here, Ashura? What's your point? I hate to play the troll card, but... I can't see what good could possibly emerge from your ill-informed parental lectures about how we should all just "cope with changes".

The posters here either need or want cover flow for one very good reason or another. Otherwise, why would they bother to take the time to offer up their opinion?

I post this to the feedback. What do you think?

This solution serves the greatest range of users. As a default load it offers all the sorts and the browsing power of coverflow. Also this default would be the deault display for playlists as well.coverflow.jpg

The Toggel view icon (not shown here) could allow you to choose this OS UI column browser solution as the second of 3 views the third being tiles. The power to scroll through a text list column of albums, artists, songs, genere, seems to be the most useful and most intuitive given the OS UI. Also, like the OS you should be able to set prefrences for views the same way you can in the OS for (albums, genere, artists, songs). In the OS you can set prefrences for, say, docs. window to always open in list or coverflow. etc. Maintain that for iTunes seems to make consistent sense.

It doesn't seem to serve Apple in the best way to begin to treat different parts of the platform in different ways due to iPhone/iPad users VS more advanced Macbook users. Stick with development that ends with the power of the OS on tablets and phones/palm devices. everything will be a powerbook eventually anyway.

There is more work to be done for the detailed view of albums. I would like to see BPM & comments able to be included in in this view by prefrences, but these are only two. Same prefrences as we get for each section of the OS.

Mammoth screw ups, no response from Apple-- why?

Are they trying to convince me to go someplace else?

Yes... ahve been thinking about a Galaxy for a while... that way I can sync with Windows Media Player without any hickups - maybe that is Apples plan? Increase Samsung sales!

If you guys are going to make a break for it I recommend waiting for the GZone commando L, (the next version of the current GZone commando) It will be out in a little over a month.

Its dual core but is far more complete and doesn't suffer some of the wifi and bluetooth profile issues that samsung isn't being so open about. The japanese version is also kinda cool if you are really into android and modding and such.

    It wont hurt to wait!

Itunes isn't the same program without cover flow.  I loved to flip through and see my albums in that format.  Itunes support for albums has always been lacking so I had to work hard to make my albums show up in chronological order.  (Itunes only supports sorting by year and that is not good enough when a group puts out several albums in the same year).   So it looks to me like Itunes is run by people who don't appreciate the value of albums.

FWIW  if there were an otion to revert to 'classic view' it would help a lot. Or perhaps a new but competent user interface that lets the customer decide. Apple Knows Best is wearing thin. The new Tunes 11 interface actually makes Miro look even better. I guess I calm myself by remembering that this is the same bunch of software geniuses who gave us Maps and the cheezy Mail 6.2 inerface they haven't fixed either. I'm not asking for eye candy and distractions, but there's a reason why I have a color display, and it's not to see black and white user interfaces on Apple software. Maybe the esoteric subtleties of Apple's UI design exquisitness just escape mere mortals like me who actually paid money (at some point) for this. Adding this to Apple Feedback - suggest those who vent here do likewise.

For me coverflow was itunes. Without it i could use any other media player. The only improvement for me in itunes 11 is the "play next" option. I wish i hadn't upgraded. I don't think Apple will bring coverflow back. I searched the internet for other coverflow like media players. I downloaded coverstream. You can let it start up at the same time as itunes, and it looks the same. You can browse by albumcovers in coverstream, or use itunes for browsing music. For me it's a perfect addition to itunes.

Unfotunately coverstream isn't available on windows yet, i'm sure someone will port it at some point but that will probably take a few months if not a year to do.
