The easiest was to add music from your computer (pc) to your iphone is not to use itunes, download "copytrans control" I have spent hours and hours trying to get itunes on my computer to sync with my phone, no app needed for your phone, just download and install. then plug your phone into your pc and open copytrans program a control center will open click the copytrans manager your phone will show up and your playlists click the playlist you want to add music to now open your music folder on your pc and drag and drop, that easy no hair pulling no throwing your phone,best of all no itunes, hope this helps someone.

You need to go to your iphone summary where is shows you what is on your iphone. scroll to the bottom and select manage music and video manually then press apply. it will tell you that you have to erase and sync. if all your music is on this itunes you will be fine. once you've done this then you will be able to add music the way you normally would.

disable auto syncing devices in iTunes.

iTunes > Preferences > Devices > tick/check 'Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically'

Hey! I just (finally) figured it out... After connecting your phone and opening itunes, you need to go to that screen that shows info about your device (last updates, backups, space avaiable) and scroll down till you find "Options". In options you need to check the box that says "manually manage music and videos". Then you open the folder where you have your songs that you want in your device, select then all and then just drag the files to your device icon on the left sidebar.

Is there any way to sync music manually without having to delete whats already on your iphone and automatically adding your entire library to the phone? Everytime I try to add a song, playlist, etc it won't add it. I try the settings under my iphone under the summary and click "manually manage music and videos" it then prompts me to erase whats on my phone and add my entire music library. Not what Im trying to do. Any help? This is so maddening!

I think there were something wrong with the iTunes. So if you are urgent to transfer music from computer to iPhone, you can use third-party software. Go google it.
