What are your thoughts on the New iTunes 11?

I for one am not very impressed! You lose cover flow, and the ability to resize your album art. Unlike previous versions where everything is not in just one area now your searching over the whole itunes for what you need to do. Its cluttered and instead of just editing one album your stuck at looking at all the other distractions instead of what your trying to edit. What are all of your thoughts on this new itunes?

Because the majority of users didn't like it.

How do YOU know what the majority liked or not? Did majority also hated to see the artwork of albums?

Or, maybe Apple just did not know how to fix the memory leak in the cover flow? And, why they then keep selling genres of music which majority of users don't like? Why they embed cover art, which majority does not like to see?

And if they sell it for the minority, why they cripple iTunes in the way this minority cannot use it any more?

If you know so much, maybe you can reveal, if they first consult the majority and then make design flaws according to majority's wish, or first release flawed software, then ask majority if it will be ok?

Oh yes, and majority of users did not like duplicates feature, they removed it, so WHY they bringing it back?

and this status bar is ... where? "help" doesn't list anything when I type in "status"

in "song" mode I can see each individual song with all the old information that's been easily available in every version of iTunes until 11.0.

However, when I move to albums, artists, or genres, I'm in some kind of graphic rather than list mode where apple is preselecting the information it thinks I want.

The "view options" function from the view menu is pathetic, it does nothing.

I want the interface at every level to be in list format like 10.7 was, or could be.

you're not the majority, because most people prefer that a product work the way they want it to, rather than enjoying it getting f$%&ed and then spending hours slavishly trying to understand what they did to ruin it.

The majority prefer to spend their time with their kids, or watching TV, or listening to music, not trying to figure out a problem that didn't exist when the product worked fine.

Can you suggest an alternative music database I can use on Mac 10.X? I download apps but not music or movies, I upload CDs for music to Apple Lossless encoder since I don't like the idea of the low quality MP3s.

I thought previous versions of iTunes had a pretty simple interface, and in the ever-accelerating movement to dumb down software and technology, iTunes is now a sort of graphic interface.

I doubt there is a program that will download iTunes store apps for iPhone and iPad and allow me to upload CDs.

The best solution is to uninstall 11 and go back to 10.7 and hope that apple doesn't eventually unsupport that version. However, so far this looks incredibly complex. Maybe a little less so because I run Snow Leopard.

I guess Apple really has lost it since that A@@$*le Steve Jobs left. Their iPhone maps app the first screw up, now this.
