What are your thoughts on the New iTunes 11?

I for one am not very impressed! You lose cover flow, and the ability to resize your album art. Unlike previous versions where everything is not in just one area now your searching over the whole itunes for what you need to do. Its cluttered and instead of just editing one album your stuck at looking at all the other distractions instead of what your trying to edit. What are all of your thoughts on this new itunes?

Sorry, I feel the exact opposite. I don't understand how anyone could prefer Cover Flow to the new iTunes 11 options I've found.

It's taken a little getting used, but really not too much. Try doing a little checking around. iTunes 11 is great, in my opinion. 11 is much faster for me, and has more useable features. But each to their own.

It works great. Best version yet, by FAR!

Tons of bugs in this version.

- My library was corrupted, and I had to rebuild from scratch.

- Artwork won't show up in album view on half the albums, even though the artwork is in the file and shows up when I "get info"

- trouble syncing iphones.

Not to mention:

- Search function ***** now, it no longer searches in your tags, and can't search within a playlist as before.

Overall: NOT HAPPY.

"Actually my problem isn't about new features. But features they took away. Mainly 3: Dj, Cover Flow and dark Grid View. I also liked the old way of searching. I have a 126GB size libaray. I also listen to classical a lot. The current search is almost useless for me.

Now i can get around the new search by using a 3rd party app. But the other 3 are just gone. I'd like to know why."

+1. Amen

Like I said it's what they took away. No DJ, no Cover Flow and no dark Grid View. And my conplaints about the search. But like I said, I already use a 3rd party app that does better searching for me.

Add back; DJ, Cover Flow and a dark color scheme and I'll happily upgrade.

What I don't understand is why take features away? What was so wrong with DJ? ****, Jobs introduced it (and Cover Flow) during a keynote.

Same thing the the artwork in the lower left. I didn't use it much; but why remove it?

And by the way, I did "downgrade". I rebuilt my system from a TM backup.

iTunes 11 is just SO bad. I am distraught and so disappointed. There isn't ANYTHING that's better and a whole lot that's worse.

I can't believe they dropped coverflow and the little artwork viewer (on the bottom-left)! I even hate the album cover view that you do get when you select something under 'Albums'---why did they have to use the album background color??? It makes the cover look all washed out!

I guess the only choice I have is to revert my whole system from my backup (and lose 3 weeks worth of data!).

This is just SO messed up . . . how could they do this to us?! 😕 😢

Have the devs discovered this thread now?

Because, you know...

"Why would anyone wanna do that!? It's beyond me. Totally redundant feature! It's fine, I tell you. Fine! Now quit whining."

Yeah, that seems to be the exact attitude that went into designing this so-called "upgrade." The sad thing is that I would have expected it from a Windows dev, and not from Apple.
