iTunes 11 not syncing Outlook 2010 (exchange) Contacts and Calendar

I had to do this too, but also had to track down an old iTunes Library (.itl) file because the current .itl I had was created by iTunes 11.

Really hoping this can be resolved. I'm worried that at some point 10.7 will become incompatible with ios(N) and the only option will be to keep an old operating system or choose if I want my work or personal calendar synced.

The simple answer is to turnoff your iCloud settings for Contacts & Calendar on your iPhone 5 (see photo below) and re-sync. This should display the Sync settings for Outlook Calendar & Contacts for your selecting preferences.

This doens't work for me. I want to have some calenders on iCloud, but my Exchange calendar to sync from my Mac. This used to exist in iTunes 10.

On thing that occasionally trips me up is if I have changed my Apple ID password and haven't changed

it in the phone. That will be prevent sycning from happening.

I ended up with a King Solomon solution based on a couple of the posts.

Calendar is syncing with Outlook 2010 via iCloud and Contacts from Outlook is turned off and then I manually

sync. Strange that they both won't work, but at least this is a fix.

I ran into this problem on my wife's phone and there seems to be a simple solution for simple needs. Turn off sync through iCloud.

1) Plug your phone into your PC/MAC. On the iPhone go to Settings / iCloud. Turn off everything that you want to sync via cable.

2) In iTunes, click on your iPhone icon (upper right, don't close it). Then click on the Info button. Select the options you want and don't forget to Apply (lower right).

Now you can only sync those items via a cable that have been de-selected from iCloud. If you don't plug in, they won't sync.

I also changed to do a local PC backup rather than iCloud backup.

Disclaimer: I have not done this with more complex configurations such as multiple e-mail accounts and things like MS Exchange, so I don't know if that will work or not. (Still on iTunes 10 for my iPhone.)

I have: iPhone 4s, IOS 6.1.2, iTunes 11.x.x

I tried this using my iphone5 and still no sync. Also I can only see my music which is all that is syncronizing even though I have selected contacts and calendar to sync.

make turn in settings>icloud on your device you have turned OFF contacts 🙂 that should work!

i got Rid of itunes 11 and reverted back to itunes 10.7 and had everything back.i believe apple has become a fat and arrogant company just like microsoft thats why these problems arise,there is no reason why the iphone should not be able to sync to both iclud and outlook at the same time other then apple trying to force everyone to only use their products

Don't know about the fat and bloated part but I resorted to the same solution on my work PC.

If you're using window, go into your control panel, and make sure icons are large icons not "category". Find the icloud icon and right click, open ,sign in it necessary and check the envelope to synch outlook with icloud. This worked great for me and I have Outlook 2007.

I have been obliged to switch lately to iTunes 11 on my corporate PC after upgrading to iOS7. I encountered the same issue as most of you since I was used to have my personal calendar on iCloud and my business one on Outlook (synced via USB, the only permitted way to sync idevice at work).

I didn't know this issue was related to iTunes (was thinking it has been introduced with iOS7)

It seems Apple is not motivated to correct this (probably not considered as a bug but rather as a feature ...)

How can I get Itunes 10 back ?

I agree, Apple is becoming very selfish and its only about them.

I think if this continues I will have to re-think which new phone I will get.

I dont really like to sync over iCloud. I dont want apple to have my private data

iTunes 11 is required as soon as you're using iOS7. With iOS6 you can stick with iTunes 10.
