Windows 7
I had the same problem (and I am using a 32' LED Screen), what helped me, was to auto hide the Win 7 taskbar and enabling and disabling the Side Bar and the status bar, after that I unhide the Win7 taskbar again and it looked oke.

How do you enable and disable the Side Bar?
Ctrl + / for status bar
Ctrl + s for Side Bar terug
Ctrl + Shift + B, to reinstate the Colum Browser
Thank you very much. This was the solution for me too.
A better version:
Try this to bring back the "old" iTunes view
Ctrl + / brings back the status bar
Ctrl + s brings back the Side Bar
Other handy shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + B it will bring back the column browser.
All these keys are under the View menu option .
To show the Menu bar, in the upper left corner of iTunes select the "Show Menu Bar" on the flyout window
After all this didn't solve my problem!
I have just arrived on my notebook, opened the iTunes and have th same problem.
Can anyone help?
Did you try the same thing as in my first post ?
And laptop is also Win 7 ??
Edit : //
I had to disable enable Side Bar / Status Bar a couple of times before I got it to stick.
Yes, I have followed all of your instructions.
I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 bits.
That is strange.
The only thing I can think of is display driver or resolution or Custom Text Size
Try to reduce the resolution on your laptop a bit and see what happens.
Note: Custom Text size is under Right Click Desktop
- Screen resolution
- "Make text and other items ..... ")
My native screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 and I didn't change the Text Size. All of this is in the default sizes.
Is this resolution also the resolution for your Laptop ?
Just try to reduce the resolution on your laptop a bit and try the stuff in post #2 and see what happens.
Yes, the laptop native resolution is 1920 x 1080.
Please note that in a notebook if you reduce the resolution to an non native screen resolution you get a bad resolution.
So, I will not reduce my resolution definitively only to get the iTunes rigth!
I am noticing that iTunes 11 is a faulty iTunes version with many problems. I have problems downloading my podcasts, etc.
I think Apple will correct this quickly.
Oke
then just try to reduce the resolution on your laptop a bit and try the stuff in post #2 and see what happens.
Good Luck
I have reduced my laptop screen resoltution temporarily, and tried your suggestion in post #2.
Until now it have worked, I can now open and close iTunes and it perfectly fits the screen.
I will now try to reboot the notebook and wil give feedback.
Thanks,
Jorge
