I have a 2nd Generation AppleTV. I used to use the Remote iOS app to remotely control what music was playing on the AppleTV. Since I upgraded to Remote 3.0 the AppleTV goes into what seems to be an endless reboot cycle when trying to use the Remote app. Literally as soon as the Remote app connects to the AppleTV the unit goes into endless reboot. ***?
Yes hare too after turning ITunes Match off everything is fine.
I am wondering if someone without a Jailbroken ATV has this problem and try that.
This has been fixed with the latest update to remote which I have just installed and tested
Not for me. I notice that I can play a playlist without the AppleTV crashing, however if I try to browse through music by Artist then I can get it to crash quite consistently on both of my AppleTV devices.
That's weird, what version of remote are using? Mine is stable with 3.01
I'm using 3.0.1.. Updated it yesterday from the App Store. I'll try signing out of iTunes match on my AppleTV and then signing back in so that it rebuilds the iTunes library. Maybe that will make a difference.
So I've investigated further and found the error in my original post.
Originally I had the same problem as the OP - as soon as remote connected to atv atv would crash.
Since updating to 3.01 I can use remote to navigate throughout frontrow as normal and playing music and video from there works fine too. The crash now occurs when I play music by selecting the track from the remote app.
Any new informations to this problem? I´ve got the same errors while browsing itunes match library by remote app.
