Rating songs via Remote app

Got the file but unfortunately it didn't work. The app is registered to your computer and I get an unauthorized message when I try to install it on mine. Thanks so much for the effort!

Apple reps take note - you have unhappy CUSTOMERS who want to DOWNGRADE their apps because you unnecessarily took away functionality or your apps!

The rating feature was essential. Can't believe Apple has really cancelled it. Bring it back. Upgrades should make things better, not worse.

One approach that might get Apple's attention would be to go to the AppStore and down-rate the Remote app and provide a clear reason why. I just did.. I would expect that folks at Apple pay attention to these ratings and trending of the ratings. A downdraft in the rating might just motivate a change.

I agree with everyone - I used the rating function all of the time on all of our iphones and ipads and now since the latest software upgrades that function is not available on the iphones. Please bring it back.

I was surprised about these "bad improvment's" on latest remote app ...

A lot of missing functions on theses upgrades as previously mentioned on the topic.

I was also not totally convinced by the new itunes 11 interface (http://bit.ly/V1tOHP)...

If i really liked some things in the look and feel of itunes11(airplay access button position...) some where missing as for the latest remote-apps (Cover-flow, DJ, etc.) ...

I decided to downgrade on itunes 10.3 (on PC-W7-64).😕

If naturally coverflow and other goodies were back in itunes,

i was really surprised to see that the latest remote app recover it's usual functionality too !!!

(bye-bye the next song playlist, hello star rating and other 😎 ).

In few words, itunes downgrade also "downgrade" remote-app functionality ...

Maybe somebody on Mac-os could confirm it .

Maybe a further version of itunes would mix the goods improvements of itunes 11 and add theses cool function of previous version ^^

I found this thread because of the same reason as everyone else: Not being able to find how to rate songs with the Remote app. Extremely weird to overlook this feature and I sure hope it is coming back.

Why Apple? Hwo makes these decissions to remove features users know and love. Like so many others I used the ratings every time I use the remote app. Slow down and remember it's all about the music. Now put it back!

How do you rate a song? I can't figure it out.

Edit: I just found it, hidden right in front of my face. Once you go into the upnext screen, at the top is the 5 dots that can be selected as stars--pretty subtle.

Add another "Thank You Apple" from me. You guys are great.

Edit: I'm using Apple TV with Itunes Match (some Google searches makes me think this might be why I can't find it)

I've gone back to the App Store and re-rated remote back to 5 stars (where I'd had it rated prior to down-rating due to the de-featuring in 3.0).
